The proprietors were exceptional, very friendly and would make suggestions where we might visit the grounds around the classified house were beautifull and restfull. Handy to town and within walking distance. The house was fitted out in period furniture amd bedroom very spacious. We had a private bathroom with everything working. It had a bath and shower. Breakfast was great and the proprietors provided plenty of items and cooked extras for us. We stayed there 4 nights and the proprietors felt like friends. Would be more than happy to stay there again

The location was just back from the water. When we visited the weather was good, lovely views and sunset. Close to town . All that we wanted and the hostess could not have been more friendly and helpful. We liked it so much that we came back for a second night on our return trip.

Lovely host, very nice peaceful and quiet location. Good value for money, especially for one night stays, as we were in transit.

Helensburgh is a pretty town with plenty of good eating places and pubs. It has a very picturesque waterfront with ample seating. There is a large leisure centre with gym and a swimming pool or you can just sit in the cafe. There are public toilets on the pier. There are 3 well known supermarkets, but preferably use the local butchers, fishmongers and greengrocers. A regular bus service runs through the town, but there is also plenty of free street parking and a couple of good size carparks. Because of its location Helensburgh is a great for exploring further afield.

Helensburgh is a charming Victorian seaside town on the Firth of Clyde. It has excellent facilities for such a small place. If you don't have a car, everything you need is in the town. If you do have a car, it is a wonderful base for touring, with the beautiful hills and glens of the highlands on your doorstep.

Helensburgh is a fairly big town with a variety of shops and restaurants. There is an 'open' feel to the place, the roads are wide with big pavements. We went to the Ruby a Chinese restaurant which was very nice with friendly staff. The second night we went to the Mare Mire which had lovely pizzas and Italian food. The local people are friendly.
Helensburgh is ideally situated to explore the west of Scotland

the Hill House is definitely worth a visit both for the house and the "box" round it to help the drying out. Submarine museum/exhibition was very good, some good cafes and bars, lovely waterfront
Excellent place for a relaxing time!
I stayed 2 nights to escape a little bit from Glasgow and to go on small trips in the area. Clyde Sea View Helensburgh is a lovely place to stay! My room was spacious and clean and the bed was extra comfy. There is a spacious living room, dining area and an outdoor terrace with beautiful view to the sea and a nice garden. Owner is nice and helpful and makes sure guests are well looked after.
Rhu Marine and Helensburgh city centre are both about 15 minutes walk.
Would recommend this place!
Found the most wonderful welcome pack in the room that the owner had left for us as we were travelling for almost 4 hours. Absolutely everything that we could need without even having to unpack. Had to make numerous telephone calls on route to update owner, and he was so kind and thoughtful. Have stayed in 5 star properties and not received a gift so lovely.
Area is really nice and close to local amenities.
Bed was two singles pushed together but was really very comfortable.
Everything was lovely. The warm welcome and drinks in the conservatory on arrival were very much appreciated. The property had been well thought out, very clean with comfortable rooms and a beautiful garden. Anne and John were super hosts and gave great advice with regards the area and places to go. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. We found a super local tapas bar for our evening meals with great food and friendly staff. Loved our stay.
The flat was faultless. It had everything you could possibly need for the stay and the host had also thoughtfully left towels, treats, bowls and blankets for the dog, as well as milk, butter, homemade cookies, coffee pods and even pastries. A lovely touch. There was loads of space and the bed was perfect especially for those with bad backs! It was a great base to visit the area. We would definitely recommend it and would book again.
Great location, and within close walking distance of all of the main areas, bars and restaurants of Helensburgh. We stayed for four nights over new year. The flat was well equipped with everything you could need including books, DVDs and games. The kitchen, while small, was fully kitted out with full oven, utensils, crockery, etc. as well as fridge, microwave and small washing machine. The bed was super comfy.
Great garden and outdoor facilities.
Had dinner in the garden as the weather was perfect.
Use of the large living room with big tv and dinning area.
Room was spot on. We had use of their netflix and youtube.
The big fan in the room was a god send however the house was lovely and cool and clean.
Decent furniture.
Breakfast was spot on.
Couldnt recommend it enough.
Beautiful, expensively and tastefully styled rooms. Great shower. Sugar Boat downstairs is a top asset for Helensburgh. You could be in Bristol, Bath, Hampstead or Hoxton. A cool vibe, but everybody from a few months old to 86 (my mother) are made to feel very welcome. Breakfast menu 😋 coffee 👌
Liz has such a beautiful house and ensures you have everything you could ever need! She put out a continental breakfast for us in the morning and there were so many options. Could not have asked for anything else while staying there, if we are ever back in the area we will for sure be staying here!
Amazing room, absolutely huge. 2 double beds, beautiful period furniture and a lovely private bathroom (in a separate area next to room). Lovely views from large bay window looking down to Helensburgh and the Loch. Very quiet area and only 5 minutes walk into Helensburgh. Highly recommended 👍
Flat in the nice town of Helensburgh so lots of pubs and restaurants close by. The host gives excellent advice, meets you on arrival and lives close by if needed. The flat is spotless and has all the items needed and more. It is really a home away from home. Dog friendly. Highly recommended.
Breakfast was fine, but not the best we had in Scotland. View from the room was excellent. Staff was very friendly and included a welcome tea and scones. Wifi in the room was very good. Adjoining bathroom was spacious.
Lovely flat, great location, parking outside, nearby to supermarkets and fuel stations, and sunsets over the Clyde. Calvin (the owner) was pleasant to deal with. Highly recommended for exploring this part of Scotland.
Excellent value, convenient location to Helensburgh Central train station (though you need a taxi to and from Helensburgh Upper train station) and buses, as well as markets, restaurants and the waterfront.
location was spot on very peaceful car port by front door made it easy unload car what ever the weather and it kept it cool and dry patio area was really nice to sit and watch boats on loch
Lovely hotel, fab breakfast, l didn't mind that it was vegetarian as it was very tasty. The tray of goodies in the room was a lovely touch. The towels smelled lovely, couldn't fault it.
