The property was classic and lovely. It was very cosy and had a lot of character to it. Which was fitting for the location within Steyning. Our room was absolutely amazing and again, really cosy, which we were upgraded to by the lovely owner of the house.

We could not get a cab to pick us up at all. Rang 5 companies & nothing. Luckily we had a car but it meant that someone couldn’t drink as had to drive which wasn’t quite what we had planned. Bit of a ghost town

Pleasant old English village with 18th and 19th century buildings in the heart of the English countryside. However this charming village seems to be on a rat run for traffic in the early morning. So don’t expect a quiet village setting first thing in the day.

Henfield is a quaint, small English village with beautiful old buildings, lovely walking trails and great cafes and pubs for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
It is close enough to Brighton and other larger cities yet far enough from the hustle and bustle to be a relaxing and welcoming respite,
You can easily walk everywhere you need to go and all of the places we visited had good food and nice surroundings.
The house is awsome, really cosy and confortable.... special, price for the sofa.
Really nice kitchen as well....and we were able to cook good french food, amways better than fat dirty burgers, in hotels :-)
Really a good house, i felt really well inside, we will probably come back here.
We had too the chance to meet Caroline who is so nice and smart.
A just little remark : it's a bit difficult to find the house by night, GPS sent us in the nearly town but not at the right place.
Great location surrounded by nature - fields with horses and sheep ☺️
Hotel itself has a lovely garden with flowers and tables. It’s a proper old building, very well maintained though. Loved the atmosphere and interior.
Also we tried to open a window in our room and it seemed to be broken, so they upgraded us to a better room for free, which was very nice.
Well-appointed accommodation with a nice welcome pack that was just enough to get us on our way the following morning. Really good location for Henfield and surrounding area. Can't fault anything and would heartily recommend it for anyone staying in the area - especially for families as there is plenty of space in the nicely furnished rooms.
The hotel is an interesting building with a long history and is right next to the South Downs. However, it's been kept up-to-date internally.
Nice bathroom, effective shower, very good bed, various breakfast options promptly served, very good coffee, etc...
Very relaxing stay and the staff were really helpful.
Really lovely hotel and restaurant. All the staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming. Perfect location just off the South Downs Way. Would recommend!
