It was incredibly cosy and comfortable, the facilities were everything we needed and the complimentary streaming services were very nice. The bed was perfect too.

If you like fish and chips, kebabs and amusement arcades, Herne Bay will probably suit - provided it doesn't rain as there is very little to do.
There is a serious lack of decent restaurants and almost none open before Thursday!
Whitstable and Broadstairs are definitely better to visit.

Attractions in Herne Bay are limited, but worth walking out to the pier to see people catching crabs. Very peaceful walks and lovely sky scapes. Good access to nearby Canterbury, an interesting town and Cathedral to see. Also easy to get to Whitstable which has a great High Street and quirky shops. Whitstable has lots of restaurants and coffee places and is a lovely town to explore and plenty of history with the oyster catching. So using Herne Bay as a base there are lots of interesting places to visit around that part of Kent.

We have family who live in Herne Bay, so I’ve been a few times for various reasons, though this was the 1st I’d stayed anywhere outside of their home. I like it there! There’s always something to do, a good choice of shops-more than you see initially. When we’ve visited in the summer, we’ve enjoyed Air shows, classic car parades, live music and Caribbean food on the pier, the Cartoon festival or even just a BBQ on the beach. The beach is mostly sandy but nearer the beach huts, the sand turns to shingle.

On a walking holiday so only stayed one night but the Aqua Bay Guest House was spot on - would recommend. Ate in a Turkish restaurant - A La Turka - on the seafront in the evening and it was excellent.

Herne Bay is a charming seaside town.
Herne Bay is a charming seaside town.
Good choice of cafes and restaurants.
A very good Sri Lankan restaurant opposite the pier. Lovely food.
Good transport links to other seaside towns, and very close to Canterbury.
So easy to reach from London.
I found it very friendly as a lone traveller.
A had a lovely short break.
We had a fantastic stay and we really loved the B&B. It is very nicely presented and extremely professional, cosy but with a hotel feel that I really liked. The twin room was huge and there was plenty of space. The beds were comfy and the towels were nice and thick. I forgot my hairdryer and they supplied one immediately. The breakfast was delicious (full English) and Luke was always on hand and answered all our questions. He was very friendly and overall we had a lovely time.
Location and surrounding towns to visit (Herne Bay, Margate, Broadstairs, Whitstable, Rochester - all lovely places), privacy and security in own fenced/locked gated area of Lisa’s garden, large car parking space, comfort, value for money. The property suited our short stay (4 nights) needs and was well equipped with separate kitchen and patio. Lisa was very nice over the phone/quick to respond to messages.
The B&B is on a quiet residential road within walking distance of the parade/High St of Herne Bay.
Hot breakfast was prepared to order and it was all really well done; Luke's scrambled eggs were really good.
The room we had also had a lovely sitting room with very comfortable sofa and the decor throughout was very stylish.
Luke and Rachel were charming and helpful hosts.
A wonderful guest house on the sea front in Herne Bay. The place is immaculate with impeccable attention to detail. Breakfast excellent catering for vegetarian and vegan a great start to the day.
Tony and Sally were so welcoming if I could I would transport them to every where I stay absolutely fabulous. Enjoyed every moment and will go again.
Very close to all places offering selection of food and traditional English breakfast. We liked the location and the comfortable indoor space of the apartment. All facilities within walking distance made our stay very relaxed. The independent character of local businesses make Herne Bay unique place on a map.
The house is in a quiet residential area and is self catering. Near to the centre of Herne Bay, the front as well as several supermarkets.
The house is clean and beautifully presented with all the facilities you could require.
Very central location, easy to get to the beach and amenities. Dog friendly accommodation for a small refundable deposit. Herne Bay was friendly and welcoming, and mostly dog friendly too. We really enjoyed our stay
Fabulous apartment with an amazing sea view. It was lovely to see that view on waking in the morning. Herne Bay is a lovely friendly place. Will definitely book this place again for my next visit xx
The location was great - very central and near the seafront, but also quiet... we took long walks on the beautiful beaches and also took bus trips to nearby Canterbury Whitstable and Broadstairs.
the hotel was in a perfect location on the sea front. the lovely room faced the sea, large windows, en-suite with all your toiletries. Bed was very comfortable with crisp white sheets.
location, location, location. really easy to get to all the Herne bay attractions. Mainly the water front and the pier. Nice and quiet in the evenings to relax.
