The staff were so friendly and helpful. Even though the hotel staff were dealing with an emergency water leak, it did not affect our stay at all. The location was so lovely.

A fantastic location, peaceful and picturesque. The hotel/house was magnificent and decorated tastefully and and stylish.
Our room was beyond expectation. Beautiful views from large bay windows and a very handy and comfortable Chez Long to take it all in from.
Spacious yet cosy, well decorated and set out.
The roll top bath made for easy relaxation.
Afternoon tea was fab, followed by a walk through the gardens and down to the river.
The staff were both professional and friendly. Very helpful and cheery.
Breakfast was a treat, the food was really tasty.
We totally recommend a visit and stay here, and will be doing so ourselves again.
Thank you everyone for making our stay as great as it was.

a nice quiet location that would be great on a summers evening sitting by the canal ( although I imagine the place would extremely busy,) I had a quiet room overlooking the courtyard , clean , comfy decent wifi when needed , decent shower and good breakfast, great choice of very sensibly priced food in the pub

Very well presented with plenty of parking. Room was very nice and had the walk-in shower we had requested. It was rather warm but the fact it faced the sun over the afternoon is hardly the fault of the hotel.
Evening meal was simply delicious with very professional staff - good menu with plenty of options.
Breakfast was served to the table which was a lovely touch - more often than not these days it is semi buffet and served so a little luxury really.
Decor, comfort, food - all excellent.
Surrounded by views of the Peak District, The Farmhouse at Mackworth is set just 9 minutes’ drive from the city of Derby. A converted 18th century farmhouse, it has a bar, a restaurant and free Wi-Fi....

The room was comfortable but decor was an unsuccessful attempt at "upscale, shabby chic"; the painted rough timber was a bit industrial. Added to this, the decor elsewhere in the room was tired and looked as if it had been "done on the cheap".
Public areas were better but the restaurant was quite cool when we ate dinner at 7.30pm. The food was fine but we didn't have breakfast as it wasn't included in the rate.
Situated in the heart of Tutbury, this splendid 15th-century inn, steeped in history and full of character, boasts traditional open log fires and oak beams.

Don't go unless you don't really care that much for a good night's sleep or good decor. Food was mediocre, said homemade chips, definitely not, frozen. Quite expensive for cheap ingredients. The staff here however were lovely, young but very nice and worked hard.

The property was absolutely perfect.
The property was absolutely perfect. I would like to say it’s not Hilton it is in Hatton. We only stayed one night after visiting relatives in Barnsley. It was a perfect stop to visit The National memorial Arboretum. From there we travelled to Somerset .

Staff were friendly and welcoming.
Staff were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was well cooked and plentiful. We were there for two nights and had no hot water for our entire stay. We were offered an alternative room but, on checking room with staff member, this room had no hot water either. We were offered a shower in the main building as our room was in a separate annex building. Room was not serviced during our stay. We were promised a full refund but so far this has not been forthcoming. I emailed the hotel through their website early this week and so far have had no reply.

Staff very friendly, helpful and approachable.
Hotel very clean and modern inside, lots of old features kept to date the building.
Beds very comfortable with lovely warm rooms and nice hot water.
Plenty of tea and coffee.
Towels were nice and soft not too hard and crispy.
The staff were having a few issues during our stay but they overcame them with professionalism.
We thoroughly enjoyed the interaction with the locals as well.
Thank you all the team for making our say enjoyable.
The hotel was really good for what we needed. Myself and my kids spent the day at Alton Towers.
Hotel has some interesting history behind it also which was a bonus.
The breakfast was good, hot and quick service.
The staff was very attentive.
Would stay again 👍🏼
The Hilton House was a friendly run establishment. A lively atmosphere throughout but no problems with getting a good night's sleep. The food and beverage amenities were an excellent quality served by pleasant and helpful staff.
We have stayed at this hotel many times whilst visiting family locally. Have always found the staff pleasant, it is ideally situated for our needs and although amenities are basic, the rooms are always clean and well presented.
Really nice little hotel. Staff were so lovely and welcoming. Stayed one night for a works Christmas party. Arrived late and the staff were so helpful to get me checked in quickly when the party night was in full swing.
The staff at Hilton House were amazing and went out of their way to make sure we had a brilliant time - including stepping in to make sure we were ok when our taxi let us down. Our thanks to them for everything they did.
Booked this hotel as we were going to Alton towers on a two day pass. Hotel was a 30 minute drive.
Comfortable and relaxed atmosphere.
Staff where very helpful. Check in was easy and shown to room.
