Craig Eithin B & B, hotel in Holyhead

Craig Eithin B & B offers accommodation in Valley, a 10-minute drive to Holyhead sea port and Holyhead railway station. Rooms are equipped with a flat-screen TV. You will find a kettle in the room.

I’m 81 and managed to fall as I arrived. Totally my fault but David and Debbie were wonderful. They got me up and settled me in an armchair in my room with instructions to stay put till I got over the shock and not to hesitate to call them if I needed anything. A soothing cup of coffee was quickly brought to me and they frequently checked that I was OK. I’m so grateful for their care and they got up early to help me on my way for the early ferry to Dublin. Such friendly and considerate hosts thank you so much..

I've only ever travelled through Holyhead en route from Ireland to the UK and back, but I walked around the town a bit with my dog on this trip, and the area around the B&B was nice enough. Beyond that I really can't say as yet, but I'll definitely return.

Not much in the Pier area, very residential. Expect to walk a lot, crossed bridge to City Center for the amenities we were looking for, food & historic sites. 2 days were enough to stay before heading to Dublin on the Ferry.

booked in holyhead purely to meet friends off a cruise ship.

booked in holyhead purely to meet friends off a cruise ship. holyhead itself has little to nothing to offer tourists but as a base to visit other parts of Anglesey its fine. holyhead seems like its been abandoned by the council and needs money spending on it, all the locals we met were lovely and they deserve more.

We visit Holyhead regularly as we travel a lot by ferry. So are usually only there overnight. Busy little town, but normally head for a B & B so do not know town very well, although it looks fine.

No busses or taxies. ( found one by chance when they were collecting a customer late afternoon)No information regarding about restaurants close for meals between 2pm - 4pm. Had to walk to hotel. As not informed about kitchens close at 2pm, our first meal was at 4.30 which we had to walk to . Amazing fish and chips at the local chippy. No interesting sights . Would have been better to have passed through directly to Cardiff.

The breakfast was amazing and although they don’t do any other meals throughout the day they were happy for us to purchase fish and chips nearby and eat it in their breakfast room. They offered plates, cutlery, etc., and they couldn't have been more helpful. There was also several other takeaway nearby, Chinese, Indian, etc. it was the nearest hotel to the ferry port being just across the road. Our room was on the ground floor and was amazingly very quiet. The pub was very busy but we didn’t hear any noise in our room.

We stayed at The Hut Wales in a sweet little room with view to the port. It is small, but cozy and provides everything you need. It is located quite close to the ferry port and the train station, so perfect if you have a connecting trip from Holyhead. You should not miss out the great breakfast in the café just below. Jason served us a lovely breakfast in this cute cafe with its friendly atmosphere. There are lots of books you can browse through while having your first, second and third coffee. ;)

I booked this hotel as I was coming in on the latest ferry from Dublin, the ferry was over two hours late docking, and I was very glad that I was still able to check in. A note was left on the front door with instructions of how to check me in. The room was comfortable, clean, bright and had great facilities - coffee, kettle, hairdryer, warm shower. The staff at breakfast were very friendly. Very generous portion for breakfast. I would stay here again.

Kay is the kindest, most amazing, charming lady. We had no idea we were about to stay at a house of someone with such a great energy and lovely spirit. Kay really helped us when we needed to postpone our ferry and let us stay at hers for another night. Her breakfast buffet is immense and we were nibbling on it throughout the whole day. Something I would appreciate hotels would accommodate! Thank you again for the wonderful experience!

Everything was great. The location is magnificent. View of the ocean from the pod. I had troubles with my service and couldn't go to booking to double check the instructions or call the host Sue. But she was so patient and understandable and made sure we know how to find the pods. Thank you! Awesome stay. I only wish we were staying for more than one night. But hopefully soon! Perfect spot to explore Anglesey from!

Comfortable bed, plenty of storage, excellent breakfast all made to order. The first time we've had hot toast ready buttered-what a great idea! Debbie and David have clearly thought carefully about what makes a great B&B and it pays off. We'll certainly return if we are passing this way again. Ideal for an overnight before a Holyhead ferry crossing.

The owner was extremely accommodating and gave us a ride from the ferry (and very late at night) and took us to the train station in the morning. She was great. The room was also nicer than most bed and breakfasts we had been staying at.
