You have the beach, a prom which is by the sea and runs to Folkestone. Then you have the canal for boating or a quiet sit in the shade, if you are energenic you can walk the whole canal . A bowling club, tennis courts, football , cricket and a lovely parade of shops what more could anybody want.

A pretty seaside town with fabulous shops.
A pretty seaside town with fabulous shops. The Royal Military canal provides a beautiful focal point and walk, before one reaches the amazing coastal walk literally on the edges of the sea. Easy access in and out of the town - close to Folkestone, Dover and beyond - regular buses serve the local area and the roads are easy to navigate. The town is full of stunning buildings like the Hythe Imperial Hotel which don't dominate, but enhance the town.
The room air-conditioner was broke so the room was extremely hot for 2 nights and nothing was done until the night before we left so we had no time to move room due to having plans and duty manager Julie explained this now was our fault, which is extremely upsetting to us with no help compensation or apology.
Some The leisure facilities were out of use but no mention of this before arriving to the hotel as apparently the leisure facilities arnt the hotel responsibility!!
(This should be clearly stated when advertising the hotel)
I have stayed at this hotel before, and is reasonably satisfactory, and better priced than many other establishments in Hythe. The staff are helpful and friendly, but not the easiest to understand. I stayed on a room only basis, as I did not require food. The room was comfortable, reasonably lit, and most things worked OK (but not the shaving light over the bathroom mirror). The room was clean and the en-suite had a bathtub and shower over (my preference). There is free parking available if there is room in the car park.
The staff are absolutely exceptional, especially at the front desk, amazingly kind, professional and courteous. I once arrived, had mistakenly booked the wrong night, they refunded me without question, booked me into another hotel (they were full) and called a taxi for me. When returning this time they were as good as ever, the bar staff are superb as well. Great location, spacious rooms, superb to have air con and a fridge, great value for money
What a wonderful hidden gem. The Old Post Office is a gorgeous and quirky old building situated in the heart of the lovely old part of Hythe. It has been beautifully decorated with much thought to detail and originality with antiquities and items of curiosity throughout. The rooms are comfortable, well appointed and beautifully clean. The host, Jamie, is super nice and helpful. I thoroughly recommend and wouldn’t hesitate to book again.
The breakfast was freshly prepared and all in all the accommodation represented good value for money. We particularly chose it because of the location in a village outside of Hythe, and therefore quieter, and because it was not far from the wedding venue of Port Lympne Hotel and Safari Park. Parking, although off-site, was problem free just outside and by the village green across from the inn. The owner was particularly welcoming.
This is our 3rd stay at the Hythe Imperial. Excellent clean and spacious room. Clean and tidy hotel. Had a great massage in the spa, and made use of the jacuzzi/sauna etc. Helpful service at the bar. Didn't have breakfast so can't comment. Looking forward to the next visit.
Made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived and staff were all amazingly friendly. The food in the restaurant was excellent and very reasonably priced The accommodation was exactly as we imagined. We wouldn't hesitate in booking here again next time we visit Hythe.
The staff was quick to respond when I arrived a little earlier than planned. The location is perfect for walks around Hythe; to the shops, cafes and the beautiful church as well as through the park to the beach. Parking is just around the corner (paid during the day).
the style and comfort and decoration off the hotel5 star the staff very polite room had lots extras dressing gown slippers ,and the stay included our own private buggy to drive around the park
and the room nice and warm in a frosty Jan
It is a good sized self contained cabin in a garden with views over the rooftops to the Channel. Car parking is available and Hythe high street with plenty of shops and restaurants is only a short walk away.
Perfect location for Le Shuttle. Walked into Hythe which was a lovely town. We had bikes on the back of the car and were able to store these safely overnight. It was so much nicer than a stay in a hotel.
The location, perfect for what we wanted to do, cottage small, quint, but ideal for our needs. The owner acted promptly when we needed him. Very short walk to Hythe town.
Spa facilities are great and we enjoyed them a lot. Ample parking space. Nice location if you’re visiting Hythe and a short walk into town and to the beach.
