Free overnight electric car charging (two spaces) was an unexpected bonus and most welcome, taking the stress out of recharging on the go.
The shower was exceptional - easy to use and operate either the rain-shower head or the hand held one.
Fantastic grounds of Buckfast Abbey.

Gorgeous room with a four poster bed and bath on feet! A very friendly welcome and staff went out of their way to accomodate us and make sure that we were happy. Lovely clean room & plenty of nice breakfast! I was recommended the hotel by friends who stay here regularly and very much appreciate it too!

The hotel is in a small village with a shop, a village hall and a very nice little pub that serves great ale. The hotel is not cheap but it delivers in a lot of ways. The food is lovely, both in the bar and the restaurant, the pool is very nice, the rooms and housekeeping are great but above all else it was the staff. They were polite and made time to chat and talk about the area and such. The location, close proximity to Haytor, and Dartmoor in general is a walkers dream. We enjoyed early morning hiking in Dartmoor.
We enjoyed early morning hiking in Dartmoor. Walk to Haytor rocks early in the morning at 07:00 was very enjoyable. Torquay is only 30 to 40 minutes by car which we visited and there are lot of other attractions in the area to enjoy.
