The garden rooms with the patios are just lovely. Really nice, quiet little area to sit outside your room. The meal at night in the restaurant/conservatory area was very good. We were grateful there was a gravel carpark that was nearer our room as the carpark itself gets a bit crowded. We arrived on a Thursday evening quite late and there was a Psychic Night coming out as we pulled into the carpark. It took us about 20mins to navigate around the minibuses & taxis but the girl I dealt with behind reception couldn’t have been better! She was so helpful!

Room was nice, a bit dated, a little bit of a maze to find it. Did not eat at the hotel. Location is the best part, step across the river, you can find all the pubs and restaurants you need.....

We only used Inverness as a central location for activities that we carry out i.e. following a Steam Train that was visiting the area so had no reason to visit anywhere in Inverness except for a couple of local eateries.

Good shopping centre, great riverside walks, historic buildings ( we didn't get chance to visit) and visiting loch Ness, this is 20minute bus ride away, personally I would recommend viewing from the bus as the cruise was nice but not good value for money.

It's an amazing city!
It's an amazing city! It's so beautiful, not big and crowdy, but at the same time you can find so many things to do there.
There are lots of places for a nice walk: along the river Ness, city center, Caledonial canal, woods. Loch Ness is just 20 minutes drive, castles, beaches are all not far.
The Botanical garden is small but really nice and it's free!
I enjoyed to visit Eden Court every evening - to watch a cinema or for a concert.
There are lot of nice restaurants.
The Dolphin spirit boat trip was astonishing as well!
Really recommend to visit

Everything was within walking distance of the apartment.
Everything was within walking distance of the apartment. The walk along the Banks of the River and across the bridges was exceptional particularly with the spring flowers adorning the flower beds and banks. Views to the Castle and the Cathedral made for beautiful photographs. If it's nightlife you're after plenty of pubs offering live entertainment of a high standard.
Choice of eateries to suit every pocket and every cuisine. No need to hire a car, as the bus station offers buses to a wide range of tourist destinations, Culloden, Nairn, Aberdeen, Skye and Glasgow to name only a few. We will definitely return to this vibrant friendly city. Shopping is also good both for tourist gifts and also for the shopping Mall experience in the Eastgate Centre. Maybe next time weather permitting we may see the Northern Lights? This city will leave you feeling you've had a break and enjoyed the walking experience.

Inverness is a great place to stay to take trips from, however not a great deal to do in Inverness itself. There is a lovely little botanical garden but took less than an hour to look round. The museum was dedicated to mostly the Jacobite period and taxidermy didn't spend too much time there, but they did have an exhibition on for bird photographer of the year which was amazing. Have a look round leaky's bookshop it full of old books you'd not find anywhere else. Old Victoria market also had some lovely shops. Plenty of places to eat and drink. Buses very confusing making self travel hard.
property was clean, modern with everything we needed. owners were away but instructions to arrive were perfect and they sent their daughter to ensure everything was good.
Owners knew we were arriving in a Sunday and offered to book us a table at a hotel within walking distance. was a blessing after a long driving day.
Fridge came stocked with essentials to make coffee and breakfast day 1, truly a big surprise and really appreciated. Best accommodation so far in Scotland.
Excellent, better than expected.
Fantastic, quiet location, at the same time close to amazing attractions, including castles, mountains, forest walks, Loch Ness, Inverness city centre, etc.
The cabin is clean, well maintained and equiped, including all the basics like tea and coffee, some games, dvds and a big box of lego our children enjoyed playing with.
Great, helpful and friendly hosts.
Amazing place for a family holiday in Scotland!
Highly recommended.
Jamie and his familie were the best hosts we had so far on our Scotland tour.
Even us arriving later in the day was no problem.
We were welcomed super friendly (and Jamie even helped us take the bags to the room).
The rooms are super comfy and we got everything we needed.
The breakfast had plenty of fresh fruit, cereal and everything you might need.
If we return sometime soon to Inverness we would love to stay at Doric House again.
This stay was like stepping back into a past era of hotel management long disappeared in cheaper hotel accommodation . Beautiful up to date rooms with all modern comforts, accompanied by an attentive ,efficient staff to whom nothing was too much trouble and a delicious breakfast .This made Ness Walk the perfect place to stay on our short visit to Inverness.
If we had a criticism, it would be the charge for parking the car .
Been someone who stays in hotels regularly for work reasons , this hotel nailed all expectations , for the price the hotel is cozy, comfortable, and been based right in the City Centre is very idea if you want a cheap stay and want to get about exploring the Highlands as well as Inverness. Very traditional atmosphere which is great. Has lots of Character this hotel will be staying again in the future.
We stayed at the hotel whilst enjoying the East coast of Scotland. The hotel is in a great location just past Inverness and right on the front. Our room had a great view! The bed was very comfy and our evening meal there was fantastic. A really great value hotel for a short stay. There is parking at the hotel and on the roadside. Check-in and out was very easy.
The locaction of the property it's in a very good place. It's close to the shops and atractions. The standard of the property it's very high, you can feel like at home. Definilitly I will recommend this place for a stay 😊 If I will be going to Scotland again and I will need to stop in Inverness I will try to stay again with Hill View 2 bedroom 😊
Unbelievably fantastic host in Derek. He bent over backwards to help us with our car problem. He was so concerned that our holiday was not disturbed and that we would enjoy Scotland. He went out of his way to help us. I cannot say enough about what a first class host Derek was to us! First class all the way!
Excellent breakfast!
We were really pleased to find out that ‘pet-friendly’ is indeed VERY pet friendly.
On our round trip throughout Scotland we noticed many hotels allow dogs in the room. But Glen Mhor takes that to the next level by letting your furry buddy accompany you to the diner and breakfest.
Staff was also outstanding and friendly!
This was one of the nicest and most comfortable accommodations we stayed at in our month long tour of Scotland and England. Breakfast is not provided but the host provides a welcome basket with all kinds of goodies that could be used for breakfast and the refrigerator was well stocked (smoked salmon, cheeses, etc.).
Culloden House is a historic site of Scotland close to the Culloden Battle Field. This historic building now serves as a 4 star hotel. If you can accept some downsides due to this you will have an enjoyable time. The staff is outstanding making your stay definitely remarkable.
The size of the room
the staff was very helpful
breakfast was very good, a very large variety of food
the room was very clean, new towels every day
the hotel was very close to the center of Inverness , near the Ness River
the price for the room was great
The shower water pressure was the best we had during our 8-day road-trip through Scotland. The location is also very central, so you can look forward to ditching your car in the private garage and walking for the rest of your stay.
Everything, absolutely stunning place to stay.lovely massive garden ,very comfortable stay for me and my family.love Scotland, that's our 4 trip to Scotland.many places to visit near Inverness, beautiful nature.
Oye favorite stay while in Scotland! Very quiet location, with excellent breakfast. Our hosts were exceptional, and David's suggestions on hotels and excursions were perfect!
