The staff were very friendly and the food was the best I’ve eaten in a long time. Credit where it’s due.

The hotel is well situated on the riverbank. Breakfast and dinner were of a high standard and the waiting and kitchen staff could not have been more helpful in adapting dishes to suit dietary needs. A pleasant bar with a good selection of local beers.

The breakfast was brilliant. My colleague was very impressed with the sausages. James (the owner) was very helpful. We asked for an early breakfast, 07.45 instead of 08.30, and it wasn’t a problem. We’re planning to go next year too. We’ll book once the conference dates are announced.

Cannot speak highly enough of the Library House and our hosts, Sarah & Tim. The Library House is beautiful, comfortable and full of history. We stayed in the Chaucer Room with access to the beautifully maintained garden. Our room was spotless, with every little detail thought of. The breakfast Room and lounge are charming. Our breakfasts were amazing! We were made to feel very welcome. Would highly recommended as a wonderful place to stay if visiting Ironbridge.

Breakfast was superb.
Loved the location away from it all and on the edge of the forest.

We did not access the property. We knew there was no point .
We did not access the property. We knew there was no point . We had to find alternative accommodation at huge cost and inconvenience. The property was up a steep narrow road, unsuitable for people with mobility issues to walk. There was no reference to this on booking.com website. The car park was situated more than a 5 minute walk away at the bottom and over the road. This was impossible for elderly and disabled to walk to and from. Taking the car up and down would have caused stress as the road does not allow for 2 cars to pass. None of this was explained in the information. Our break was ruined because of serious omissions

This was the third time we had visited the area. Apart from all the museums there is much to see in the area, from various potteries to the Long Mind area of Shropshire - so different from where we live in rural Norfolk.

So much to see in just a few square miles - the people are exceptionally friendly and helpful. If visiting the attractions for a holiday of a few days or more, get a Pass Plus ticket to enable a year of visiting all of the Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage sites, with free parking at the museum sites at Blists Hill, Coalport, Jackfield and Coalbrookdale, together with reductions in the museum retail outlets and cafes. Visited twice in the past year from Manchester, once in September and again in February. Plenty of good pubs, cafes and places to eat and drink in Ironbridge too, making for a fantastic short break!

The town is charm itself.
The town is charm itself. A perfect mix of independent retailers perfectly situated along the River Severn. The bridge itself is the main attraction but with lots of walks and woodland encompassing it. The people were friendly. There was a Vintage Jean shop that was a favourite of the teens and the second hand book shop. A gorgeous cooked breakfast at the cafe overlooking the bridge. Just a really wonderful location. Plenty of history to explore if you are into that.
This is a lovely quirky B&B - not at all like a standard budget chain hotel. Our room 5, had comfy twin beds and had a spacious bathroom just for our use. across the corridor. A very minor inconvenience, but we were aware of this when booking. Tom, the host, was great and very keen to make sure that we were had everything we needed. He also whips up a great cooked breakfast using quality ingredients. Its walkable to the Ironbridge, though we chose to drive to the large car park just down the road. We would definitely use again.
The house itself was stunning with a beautiful view over the river and Ironbridge. The room was spotless and no detail had been overlooked. Jules the owner gave us a lovely warm welcome and even provided us with hone made cake in our room to have with a cup of tea. Breakfast was gorgeous - really well cooked, fresh fruits and homemade jams. We can’t fault our stay. The owner is planning to convert the house and outhouse into self catering accommodation in the future. We will definitely be back with our family to stay when she does!
Victoria was exceptional as a host. Food was absolutely delicious and the welcome tea and scones on arrival was wonderful and most appreciated. Location, room and facilities are excellent. Highly recommended by us. Guest garden is wonderful and the various places to rest in the garden. Onsite parking. Short walk to the ironbridge. Very pleasant short walk ,some of the pubs are a bit expensive so it pays to shop around!
We had a lovely midweek roast in the Tortine hotel was lush.
Eleanor and Sean were great hosts. A warm and friendly welcome included carrying heavy cases up to our room, an unexpected but much appreciated touch. Both very attentive ensuring we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay in particular at breakfast which was excellent. The location couldn't be bettered if visiting to make the most of the Ironbridge Gorge and is just a few minutes walk from the Ironbridge itself. Would highly recommend.
Really good location for exploring Ironbridge as easy to walk to everything in the area. The property was well equipped for self catering purposes, the hosts very thoughtfully provided milk, tea/coffee, biscuits and sachets of condiments. It was also very dog friendly with treats provided. There were lots of towels and the hosts told us to knock on the door if we needed anything, they were also very informative about the local area.
Lovely quirky place to stay with excellent parking. It has a central location in Broseley, very close to pubs and restaurants. We enjoyed a great Indian meal at Zengh and we visited the Butchers Kitchen twice. We recommend the Shropshire Pie at Butchers Kitchen.
Only two miles from Ironbridge Gorge.
Laura was very friendly and helpful before and during our stay.
Good places to walk the dog nearby.
I can honestly say, this is one of the nicest hotels I’ve stayed at, the cleanliness, decor, location and very friendly staff are perfect, the little fridge in reception with bottles of milk for guests is a great feature, especially if you enjoy a few brews in your room, for anyone wishing to visit Ironbridge I would highly recommend staying here.
Everything went well from start to finish, the host sent me a text message on the morning of arrival with a map, so the place was easy to find. It was a perfect location for us as we were attending a wedding in Ironbridge, the reception was at the Best Western hotel which was only 300 yds away!
Perfect location for visiting Ironbridge. Close to the bridge and only a short walk from the car park. No hotels have parking in Ironbridge. Good selection of drinks, great breakfast and an interesting dinner menu. Pop in for a pork pie at Eley's Pork Pie shop.
The Best Western Valley Hotel is situated very conveniently for a visit to Ironbridge and its heritage features. There is ample parking and direct access to a pleasant park bordering the river. Check in was easy and the staff involved were friendly.
The hotel was in a great location to explore Ironbridge and Much Wenlock. Superb staff couldn’t have been anymore attentive. Rooms had everything we needed and very clean. Also ate in the restaurant and the food was excellent and good value
The Mews was an extremely well planned apartment, very comfortable and well equipped and ideal for a few days away. It's in an excellent location for exploring Ironbridge and the surrounding area.
We would highly recommend The Mews.
The two young men we met when we arrived were friendly and very helpful. Ironbridge is a lovely place and the hotel is ideally situated to enjoy it. The breakfast was very good.
