The privacy and the hot tub were the most important factors. Compact cabin with lots of useful kitchen gadgets. The 3 single beds suited a small family. Nice and warm, held the heat well. Plenty places to walk and visit near by. Lovely post office in nearest village with a good bakery.

We loved EVERYTHING about this stay. It had everything we needed. The lodge was clean and modern with log cabin features. The location is beautiful and the scenery is breathtaking. Paul the owner was lovely. They went the extra mile by having hot tub & wine ready on arrival.

The village is charming & very quiet, surrounded by beautiful countryside & is convenient for exploring the Cheviots on foot. It's perfectly situated for the end of the Pennine Way & on the route of St Cuthbert's Way.

Kirk Yetholm is a fabulous village at the bottom of a breathtaking hillside. It is at the end of the Pennine Way. It's a very peaceful village and looked beautiful in the evening sun.
I stayed at the Border Hotel, which was equally as fantastic

It was nice to spend time in a village again, and just do whatever we wanted without rushing anywhere. The driving was easy and the area was beautiful, we were particularly interested in the farming.
We ate in our hotel each evening.

The trip was arranged to meet our son, who lives in Derbyshire, during his walk along Cuthbert's way. We had never been in that part of Scotland previously and intend to return and spend more time in the area.
Beautiful room, new and spacious with lovely en-suite. Amazing views across fields. Relaxing and comfortable bed so great night's sleep.
Breakfast ingredients excellent quality. Delivered to our room (due to covid rules) but that was fine as we ate on our balcony and enjoyed watching rabbits and other wildlife.
Pub in village (Border Hotel) did great evening meals (recommend booking this in advance)
Relaxing stay at Mill House. We hope to return.
Its a very nice old hotel in a picturesque village. The room was large and cosy and the bed was very comfortable. Staff were friendly and very accomodating with any requests you have. The breakfast was excellent and lovely selection available. The hotel was able to store my rucksack and forward to my next location as I was participating in a 4 day hike across the Cheviot Hills, this was really helpful.
We chose this hotel due to its location on the St Cuthberts Way which we were walking. The rooms, staff and food were excellent, but there wasn't a lot of sleep as we stayed on a Friday night, which by all account is quite a noisy night. If you are planning staying here and want a good nights sleep, I would certainly reccomend it as long as it wasnt a Friday night.
We stayed in an old double fronted terraced house on a quiet road about a minutes walk to hotel. Lots of character in the house and plenty of space. Upstairs there were 3 double bedrooms with very big beds. Bathrooms were fine and outside at the rear was a good enclosed garden/barbecue area. The restaurant staff were friendly and helpful
Very enjoyable weekend stay at The Border Hotel. We had the two bedroom apartment - very comfortable beds and spotlessly clean. Made to feel very welcome by every one the staff members we met.
Breakfasts are great, and the one evening meal we had was good as well. A great place to stay if you wish to visit this beautiful area.
Good choices for breakfast, nice dining rooms, yummy Cullen Skink and cosy bar. Great location for us visiting Holy Island on the way to the Highlands and a pretty drive to get to the hotel. The room and bathroom were stylish, comfortable and clean. Friendly, helpful staff. Easy parking.
This isn’t a fancy hotel but huge comfortable room, great atmosphere in bar and very dog friendly (dog allowed in breakfast room and bar). We loved the laid back atmosphere and fantastic staff who were really accommodating. One of the most genuinely dog friendly places we’ve stayed.
Stayed in the cottage, big rooms, comfy beds, everything you might want was available from barbecue to books, basic food stuffs available for use. Breakfast served in the hotel was outstanding. Staff friendly, helpful and lovely laid back atmosphere. MAGIC!
Location was excellent, Claire (proprietor) very friendly and helpful. Hearty breakfast with homemade preserves. Close to Border Hotel serving tasty meals at a fair price. Room and shower were spacious, and the bed linen/coverings top quality.
Kirk Yetholm and the end of the Pennine Way. This is a great way to end the day. Warm and welcoming hosts and superb accomodation. Amazing rooms and lounge and breakfast room. Home cooked locally sourced breakfast was superb.
Conveniently situated hotel on St Cuthbert’s Way path. Still open even at the end of November. The bar area had a real fire and good food. Staff were friendly.
