Stayed in a beautifully decorated family room with a friend. Double bed and single bed. Both very comfortable. A lovely shower en suite. Great breakfast. Ready meals also available to cook in a microwave at a small cost, plus snacks and drinks, soft and alcoholic. Saw a red squirrel in the garden, fed with peanuts by the proprietors. Proprietors were very friendly.

McKays Hotel, hotel in Kirkmichael

McKays Hotel is situated in the scenic riverside town of Pitlochry and just 260 metres from the main railway station.

Breakfast was excellent, good service and friendly staff. Meals at night were very expensive, more like central Edinburgh or Lindon prices . Same with cocktails. So we chose not to eat there at night.

Kirkmichael is a quiet wee town but you have the mountains of glenshee to the east and Pitlochry to the west. And an amazing road between. Nice wee shop with cafe for everything you need. Great river walk from the village.

Kirkmichael is a hamlet situated on the River Ardle.

Kirkmichael is a hamlet situated on the River Ardle. In the village are a few lodgings, a restaurant and a small local shop. The village is situated on the road between Blairgowrie and Pitlochry. This road takes you through beautiful countryside, but the road is very winding and mostly single track.

Ken & Moira were very friendly and gave great tips that ensured we got the best from our time there. We ate in Kirkmichael at the local hotel for our first night and again on our third as the food was so good. Although we left our small dog at home for this trip, we quickly found out that dogs were more than welcome at the B&B as well as all the restaurants we visited. Will take her with us next time.

we had a very enjoyable stay at the Lodge.

we had a very enjoyable stay at the Lodge. It was very comfy & clean. Ken & Katherine couldn't do enough for us. The breakfast & evening meals we had were good, very reasonably priced & of good portion. Set up the hills on the edge of the forest being a quiet location. Having deer on the doorstep is a bonus. Would definetly stay again

The Stradhardle Lodge is located in the heart of the wonderful Perth and Kinross region. Kirkmichael is just a lovely little village surrounded by beautiful forrest and peaceful nature. The room was very cozy and comfortable. We enjoyed Paul and David’s amazing hospitality and their harty breakfast most of all. In hindsight we wished we booked more days in the lodge. Definitely recommend it if you are looking for a place to unwind and explore the area.

The room was simple but very spacious and comfortable for 3 people. Room temperature was perfect, and we didn’t hear any noise around us. We were doing a roadtrip in Scotland and the one night we stayed in this hotel was the nicest night of sleep we had during our holidays. 🙏🏻Breakfast was amazing too, lots of options and everything was delicious. The hosts were super nice and friendly as well.

Very friendly welcome from the manager and easy check in. Parking space adjacent to the hotel. We were told that the hotel was short of staff at the moment. Tired decor with signs of wear and tear. Warm room, plenty of hot water. Offered a full cooked breakfast. Limited cereal options. Bar and bar food available in the evenings. Ideal location for what we wanted to do in Kirkmichael.

What a lovely little hotel. Staff couldn’t do enough for us. Bed was really comfy. Lots of little extra touches made all the difference. Loved the idea of the honesty bar but as we were at a function we didn’t get the chance to use it. 10am checkout was quite a quick turnaround as we only had breakfast at 9am but it was manageable and didn’t detract from a great stay

The website describes the hotel as a hidden gem in the Glens and that's a perfect description. This is a beautiful quaint hotel in a beautiful location. You are made to feel welcome from the minute you walk through the door and the all the staff went out of their way to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The food was excellent.

This a lovely little b & b in a pretty little village. Moira and Ken are very friendly and helpful hosts. Breakfast was delicious, particularly the avocado and poached egg on sourdough toast! The Kirkmichael hotel is about a minute's walk away and serves excellent meals and again, it's very friendly. overall, a great stay

The room was spacious and bright. There was a roll up dog bed in the wardrobe which our dog slept on. The hotel staff were friendly and made us feel at home. The dish we chose for dinner, pan-fried salmon was tasty and well cooked but nothing special and quite a small portion for the price.

The staff were very nice accommodating and the room was a very good size. The answer I gave for the parking was because the hotel was busy and the car park is not very big but it was taken care of.The breakfast was really good with a good selection.

We were offered without asking a continental breakfast because of an early start one morning which was brilliant. The hotel needs a little modernization but made up for this with welcoming atmosphere.
