Johnny and Dee were amazing hosts and the food was incredible! The house is cozy and full of beautiful art. Johnny even took us to get closer to some sheep when I asked.

Larne was fine , Unfortunately on the way we encountered a parade of Orangemen and felt very intimidated as we sat in our Irish reg car to the chants from parade participants, if fact driving through lovely towns like Carrickfergus we felt very unwelcomed by all the ulster flags displayed everywhere.

Good location for accessing other sights/tourist places. Well served by public transport. Good promenade for relatively flat walking.
The Olderfleet bar does a roaring trade, best to book to make sure you can get a table.

Larne is my home town and I was visiting family. The B&B is right beside the harbour if you are travelling by boat. It is a nice town but not much going on. There is easy access to the main road to Belfast and other places.

It was a smaller town and easy to get around with good parking with access to the Main Street from the parking area. Took awhile to realise that as we didn’t see any signs letting us know we could walk through
A charming town with nice and helpful people

The gateway to the Glens along the Coast Road from Larne to the north every beach and village/town is different and appealing to individual likes.
Everytime I come back I can go to the same places along the coast and find something new this must be one of the best coastlines in the "world"
The local restaurants and small cafes offer good local, home cooked/baked delights, all locally sourced from sea or land and the hospitality is unbeatable.

Taking the ferry to Scotland and the port of Larne was so convenient. No queuing or traffic congestion. Stayed in Ballygally Castle the night prior to taking the ferry which was less than 10 minutes away from the port.
The property is a lovely spacious 3 bed penthouse apartment with lovely views. It has private parking and lift access. We travelled up for a wedding and the girls had plenty of places within walking distance to get hair and make-up done. Lovely spot for breakfast right beside it called the Silver lounge cafe which is very reasonably priced.
Roy the owner was so helpful telling us where we could go for different things and also gave me a lift to get my car from the wedding the next day.
Nowhere better to stay if your up in Larne.
This b&b is the best I have ever stayed in, rooms are both comfortable spacious and spotlessly clean.
The views are amazing, the breakfast is scrumptious and plentiful, and to top it all off the couple who run the b&b are very friendly and attentive, they obviously take pride in their b&b, and it shows.
Well done Cairnview I will definitely be returning soon, and definitely recommend whomever wishes to experience the best b&b in Northern Ireland.

By far our favorite B&B after driving 1000s of km around Ireland and North Ireland! This place brought it all—exceptional hosts, abundant hospitality, terrific food, beautifully appointed accommodations AND in a fantastic location with amazing hikes and ruins and activities. Could not have asked for a better stay…wish it wasn’t such a long flight from North Carolina or this would be our new long weekend getaway! And to top it off— it never rained once!
Everything. It's one of our favourite hotels to stay at. The food is amazing and the staff are helpful and friendly. The views are absolutely stunning. Really recommend a sea view room and breakfast overlooking the water in the morning is a must. Don't forget to order the sticky toffee pudding! It's unforgettable and for the brave you can pay a visit to the Tower room and say Hello to the ghost. Will definitely be back again.
This hotel was a pleasant surprise! From looking at a map, you don’t expect much because it’s located near the working port of Larne. But, the building was superbly maintained. The staff was SO kind. The room was VERY comfortable and up to date. And the restaurant/breakfast was excellent. It actually turned out to be an excellent location, because we had a nice view of the bay behind, and it was easy in and out of town.
Breakfast was not included as it was a very well fully furnished apartment, loads of tea/coffee on arrival, couple of board games and magazines aswell.
location was a 10min walk to larne centre, were we found shops, bars, restaurants.
We ate dinner in chekkers wine bar, which food was 10/10 and even found a wee cafe open on sunday, the stove, breakfast again was 10/10.
Thank you for our wonderful service 👍
The Ballygally castle was an amazing hotel with great staff. We had bees traveling for about a week when we pulled up to this hotel which was in an amazing location with historical charm. The location directly across from the ocean is beautiful. The restaurant on site has great food. And as a bonus the hotel is one of the ten locations of the Game of thrones doors found around Northern Ireland.
Can’t rate BallyCairn House high enough seriously!
Dee & Johnny have a very special property where you truly feel welcome. It was an oasis for us, the room, bed & facilities were scrupulously clean. The breakfast delightful. loved the art & gardens. The insightful recommendations were spot on.Will recommend to anyone travelling Northern Ireland.
The host, Heather, was very welcoming on arrival. Rooms very spacious and spotlessly clean. We had a double and a family room which were close together with the use of a lounge with TV in between. Breakfast was very tasty with plenty of choice. Excellent location, within easy reach of the ferry port at Larne. Would definitely stay again.
Comfortable hotel, fresh and well-equipped for overnight stays adjacent (within walking distance) of the Larne Cairnryan ferry. Staff very pleasant and helpful.
Good bathroom - there is space for storing stuff around wash basin (something often lacking in hotels!) and shower was powerful and hot.
Welcoming host who had kindly stayed up to greet us from the Cairnryan-Larne ferry, which arrived a little later than check-in. Close proximity to ferry with parking in a small road adjacent to hotel.
Warm, comfortable room.
Hearty breakfast included.
Beautiful inn, comfortable and quiet. Excellent breakfast. And Ivy made us feel very welcome and was a great source of information and tips! We loved the location in the town of Larne, which has very good rail and bus transportation options.
A lovely guest house, beautifully restored and maintained to a very high standard. Ivy was a wonderful host and the breakfast was great.
One of the best places we stayed on our trip around Ireland and Northern Ireland.
Highly recommended.
Carol is a lovely host. Our request for quieter room was accommodated as best she can. Check in process was very smooth. Parking is available infront of hotel. Clean room, very reasonably priced.
The host was fantastic and quickly responded to any needs. The apartment was clean, welcoming and had all necessary amenities If ever I return to Northern Ireland, I would choose to stay there!
Charming old house that felt very homely and comfortable. The proprietors were kindness themselves. Very close to a pub that has the best food in Northern Ireland!
