The grounds were beautiful, the staff was friendly and very helpful. The food was delicious. Our room was tastefully decorated with a stunning view of the garden. The bed was very comfortable.

We have relatives nearby which we were visiting hence our stay. Launceston is good in parts, not many pubs served food bit it was awash wit takeaways. Not suitable for anyone with limited mobility as the town has steep hills. Tesco etc has killed all the small independents which used to be in the town

Good pubs, Red Lion in Trewint a must. Lovely town centre in Bude, can drive to Davidstowe and Boscastle, amongst other places. Heaps to do, stunning countryside for walks, definitely chocolate box. We were a 20 minute drive from Launceston in beautiful countryside. We used Launceston for self catering shopping. There is a castle, church and narrow gauge steam railway, Launceston is well placed.
