The new owners were delightful, and really cared about making us feel welcome and looked after. We stayed in 6 different hotels, guest houses and B&B's during our recent touring holiday, and this one was the best. Excellent choice of drinks in the bar.

For a group of hill walkers or nature ramblers this hotel is very good, if a bit old-fashioned. It is located on the north side of Lough Tay amid beautiful scenery.
If you want an escape from phones, emails and other distractions in life this is a very good spot.
You must have your own transport as it is 6 or 7 miles from the nearest village.

The location is a huge plus with loads of walking and outdoor activities close by. There's a bounty of excellent pubs and restaurants close to the area serving local dishes, catch and beer. Wildlife is in abundance and on some of the quieter trails you won't be disappointed.

Probably good place to relax and escape rat race.
I was running half marathon at Kinloch Rannoch which is 22 miles away so added to stress in morning . Took 50 mins drive on windy , quiet road.
Food not suitable for runners ie no porridge or pasta.

Stayed for one night to specifically do the Munro’s next to the hotel. Appreciated the hotels location and car park. Ideal for what we needed. Appreciated the cold beer and soft drinks with it being such a hot day, along with an excellent pizza. Thanks again for an enjoyable stay and walk.
The hotel is situated half way up Loch Tay between Killin and Kenmore, ideal for walking the Munro's and trails.
The room was comfortable with nice views. Lovely home cooked full breakfast with cereal, toast, juice and coffee set us up for the day. We ate at the hotel every night, all meals were delicious especially the Haggis Pakoras and the Lamb Shank. My husbands favourite was the Steak Pie which he had twice in four days!!
A big thanks to Reece for looking after us!
Great location overlooking the loch. Easy to find, only 8 miles past Killin. Our host Paul was polite and obliging, and efficient in his running of the hotel. Our room, though small, was clean and cosy, and had ample supply of tea, milk and toiletries. A good variety at breakfast. An extensive menu was available for dinner, and meals were delicious. Plenty of on-site parking.
Friendly and helpful staff, very dog friendly hotel. Good hearty food, plenty of choice on menu. Plenty of hot water, and good water pressure, just what you want after a days walking. Thought would be noisy at the front next to the road, but by about 10pm traffic virtually stopped and it was very quiet. Good area for sitting outside enjoying an evening drink.
We had a fantastic stay at the Ben Lawers Hotel. The rooms were large, clean and comfortable with great views of the loch and mountainside. We we’re running late to arrive for dinner in the restaurant, phoned ahead and even though it was close to the kitchen closing they still squeezed us in for pizza no problem. Great value for money, would definitely stay again.
Location great for walking. Room was lovely and clean, comfy bed. Really nice shampoo etc for shower. Food downstairs was really tasty and the pizza is worth trying. Nice hotel just ask for room away from bar. Only 1 sitting at breakfast which is 8.30am but did take up on the offer of a packed lunch for the next day.
The owners were very friendly and went out of their way to assist and help with anything so we were comfortable. We were upgraded to a better room at no additional cost.
The location of this small hotel is fantastic with views across Loch Tay.
Thank you for looking after us and making us feel welcome.
A charming highland hotel between loch and hills. Perfect base to climb Ben Lawers and other Munros in the area. A nice pub serving dinner and beer, friendly owners. The room was clean and comfortable (but a bit small - I had a "small compact room"). Great value for the price.
Comfortable, clean and friendly hotel in a beautiful location. Food is very well prepared and tasty. Friendly atmosphere in the bar which is also used by locals with pet dogs. A good hotel for a weekend break.
Perfect secluded location next to Loch Tay and the old village of Lawers. Great value for money, clean room and a nice breakfast. Bar and restaurant was cosy. Great host who was very accommodating.
