It's a small town on the upper Thames with an 18th-century bridge. Buscot Park (National Trust) is less than three miles away, and Kelmscott (once the home of William Morris) not much further. His friend Burne-Jones's pre-Raphaelite stained glass can be seen in Buscot church.

A lovely place to stay right on the banks of the river Thames. The room was clean and comfortable with the best tea and coffee making facilities I've ever seen. If I could offer some advice it would be to upgrade the lighting in the room as it did feel a little dark.Very happy with my stay thank you.

A lovely Cotswold town with plenty of small shops including a very well stocked licensed health food store. A selection of eateries including high quality pub grub, super Indian and fish & chip shop. Good river walk along the upper reaches of the Thames.
Staff and service was excellent. We got a flat tire one night and they were able to assist us with booking AA the next morning. The property was gorgeous and tucked away in a quiet town. The room was spacious, warm, and clean. We were able to drive to our room to drop off/pick up our heavy luggage. Breakfast was delicious and they served generous portions. We enjoyed our walk around the property and the garden tour.
We were walking the Thames Path and Lechlade was the ideal stopping place. Vera's Kitchen are closed on Tuesdays, but they called during the day and messaged us to confirm that we knew how to check in etc. They also called several times before about our booking in response to questions we raised. they couldn't have been more helpful. The rooms were very comfortable and quiet. the breakfasts were exceptional.
We were hiking the Thames Path & Lechlade was en route. Really nice little town but not much going on in terms of evening restaurants, so we ate dinner at New Inn which was good hearty pub food. Nice atmosphere & lovely staff. Rooms were big & spacious but old fashioned and a but tired, although the bathroom was OK and the shower was good. Location was excellent - right in the middle of the town.
Had a lovely relaxing stay here, the staff were accommodating and friendly. A great bonus was the wonderful food served in the cafe on site - the breakfast was the best I've had by far! And they were more than happy to bring my meal to my room on one occasion also.
Would recommend a stay here and we will be back
Perfectly located and well equipped accommodation. Very clean and tidy, We used it for a small family reunion and there was plenty to do in the area and it was not far to travel to either Lechlade or Burford, both very attractive towns. We'll definitely recommend it to friends.
The house is in a good location to access the lovely town of Lechlade and other attractions such as the wildlife park. The rooms are good sizes, the back room is nice and the shower is really powerful. The litlle bottles of shampoo etc and the hamper were a nice bonus.
One of the loveliest hotels I have stayed in. Very friendly staff, room was beautiful and I slept so well in the bed!
Food is also lovely, I was staying for a wedding near by and wish I could have spent longer enjoying the facilities here.
Lovely old coaching inn in heart of Lechlade. Grounds to the rear give lots of car parking and lead right down to river Thames.
Staff first rate even when pushed by a very very busy night after RAF Fairford tatoo.
Food good too.
The overall stay was great. The hotel was very clean, the staff were very helpful and courteous. The food both at breakfast and dinner were excellent. Would highly recommend as a place to stay when visiting the Cotswolds.
We stayed in the garden cottage, a very nice room at the back of the courtyard. Facilities were good and the breakfast options were great and very tasty! We can also highly recommend the homemade cakes!
Cozy inn, good for our purposes. Great place to put your head down after a long day out. Staff were polite. Beautiful spacious bathroom and premium toiletries. Breakfast in particular, was excellent!
The rooms are very spacious and very nicely furnished. There is everything you need. The beds are big and very comfortable.
Breakfast is also great and the staff is fantastic and extremely friendly.
Lovely combination of modern comforts combined with old charm in the oldest inn in the centre of Lechlade. Peaceful, warm, quiet room and a comfy bed. Parking available at the back was very handy.
The room was lovely, with loads of character.
Very comfy bed, slept really well.
No breakfast as the kitchen was closed but we were directed to a really nice place very close by.
