Stayed here pre-COVID and loved the place. First time back here since, and though things have changed and it is now operating as a B&B, so pleased to see that the quality is still there.

The Honingham Buck, hotel in Lenwade

Boasting a garden and views of garden, The Honingham Buck is a bed and breakfast set in a historic building in Norwich, 25 km from Blickling Hall.

The Honingham Buck looks like a traditional English pub when you arrive which is excellent but all the accommodation is at the rear so no noise and really really nice. Bed was superb. The food was also excellent and very reasonably priced.

The Hideaway, hotel in Lenwade

Situated in Hockering in the Norfolk region, The Hideaway has a patio and garden views. Providing free WiFi, the property also has a garden and a terrace.

The perfect getaway for a cosy night for two, we had a lovely stay! The facilities were great, very soft blanket and sheets- the bed was incredibly hard to get out of for check out. It was lovely and warm upon arrival, we loved all the bee designs everywhere! The hot tub was the cream on top, it was heaven to sit under the warm lights and stars. Everywhere was absolutely spotless, it's clearing a place that has a lot of effort and love poured into it. The hosts Janette and Brian are absolutely lovely too!

Only stopped overnight for a function the following day at a neighboring village. Didn't see anything of Lenwade itself. Ate in the restaurant at the White Pheasant, where we stayed. Food was good and reasonably priced. Would recommend it to others.

It is a big property but wheelchair friendly. There is an enormous off road car park with walks around the grounds. Secluded and quiet. All the staff we encountered were friendly and chatty. We would have loved to have eaten there looking at what was on offer but sadly were unable to.

If they do their planned refurbishment then it should be a great place to stay. As it is, no. The friendliness if the proprietor helped. Breakfast was a rip-off, and the eggs royale I had were horrible, slathered in sauce from a jar - could taste it all morning! They charge for tea or coffee with breakfast - a tiny pot. Some imagination in the kitchen and real cooking would be good. My next night at the King’s Head in North Elmham could teach thohow to do things.

Lenwade being fairly central within Norfolk was a great base for sight seeing. The roads are good and we’re quiet when we stayed. Lenwade had a small convenience store a couple of good food pubs and a petrol station.

Room was relatively spacious with, unusually, two easy chairs. Bed was comfortable with a nicely weighted duvet - not too hot or cold. Similarly, the room temperature was comfortable. Had breakfast & dinner, both of which were good, in the restaurant - but it seems this is a separate business entity to the accommodation. This hotel is a rather grand building which suffers from a lack of tlc,, which is a shame as it could be a very nice place to stay.

The hotel is a little dated and tired, but the rooms have been refurbished, the staff were excellent and the cook was 5 star. Room service was excellent everything you needed was supplied and the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. Very peaceful and quiet location with excellent large grounds especially for dogs. It is a large hunting lodge that just needs some TLC . Very good value for money.

*ROOM 31* The setting of the hotel is fantastic ad the grounds are well kept, the hotel itself though could use some updating, although the room had all the amenities you need, tea/coffee/hot chocolate/bottles of water, hair dryer etc. The staff were very friendly. Breakfast was adequate, i had pancakes with bacon and syrup - delicious, My partner had a full English, again, very nice.

The hotel staff were excellent - but far too few (we saw one person on reception - and that when we arrived. He later turned up doing waitering, and bar duties at the same time). Meals, breakfast orange juice, tea, coffee al had to be paid when delivered - there was no single bill at the end of the stay. Dinner exceptional when the chef was on duty which was never clear!

The hotel has got the basics down perfectly Great coffee, great breakfasts, the shower is superb and very hot! and even though it’s a dog friendly hotel is doesn’t smell doggy - it’s clean I would definitely stay here again The hotel setting is beautiful and it was lovely to wake up to the sound of ducks and to see the squirrels and pigeons amongst the trees

Very clean and comfortable room. Dinner was tasty and plentiful, the staff were very friendly. Our dog was made welcome everywhere in the hotel, with good dog walking footpath indicated. Cooked breakfast was good but no cereal or juice offered, although I guess we could have asked for it!

The hotel was old, a little tired in the reception and corridor, but clean. Absolutely freezing tho throughout. Probably lovely in the summer, but single glazing in the winter is too cold..
