An absolute remarkable stay at Mountain View! John and Tess made us feel so welcome, and were truly wonderful hosts. The facilities at Mountain View were exceptional as well as the attention to detail. The views were breathtaking and there is so many other beautiful destinations close by. This is an incredibly unique experience which exceeded my expectations and I enjoyed every moment. I can’t thank John and Tess enough for making this experience so enjoyable, by far the best hosts I’ve ever encountered, we was greeted upon arrival, shown to our tent (which was so clean and homely) John offered suggestions on places to visit whilst we were here and of course we did, there is a beautiful lake 5/10 minutes away from Mountain View with such clear waters and horses on the other side, we was also provided us with everything we needed for a fire, BBQ and so much more. So thank you John and Tess for such a magical stay, we will see you again soon!

Great big comfy beds and gorgeous views from the window (fabulous for a bit of star gazing if you’re lucky enough to get a clear night in this dark sky area). The location was amazing - straight out of the door on to some fantastic walks around quarries and up into the mountains. Mynedd Mawr is just a short stroll out of the village. Also a fantastic base for exploring Snowdowndia and Anglesey. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you could need to cook up a feast. A top hostel. We’ll definitely be back!
