Cairngorm Lodge Youth Hostel is housed in a former Scottish shooting lodge, offering stunning views of the Northern Corries.

Location couldn't be better. In front of the bus stop and walking distance from Loch Morlich. Loads of common areas to hang out. Super clean. On-site restaurant. Reasonably well kept.

Perfectly located for hill walking, climbing, fishing, the Malt Whisky Trail, golf and all winter sports, this independently-owned hotel is found in the heart of Aviemore, in the Cairngorms.

Comfortable room and good breakfast. The hotel building is much better than most in Aviemore, and the location just opposite the station was brilliant.

In Cairngorm National Park, The Boat Country Inn and Restaurant has a restaurant, Wi-Fi access and elegant rooms. Aviemore can be reached in 10 minutes by car.

Excellent location for walking. Not far to drive once there. Breakfast set us up for the day. Ordered Cullen Skink soup every evening, it was delicious.

Breakfast choices were good but the hot items weren’t hot enough. Room was spacious although hard to find at first. Hotel is like a rabbit warren. Staff were pleasant.

Surrounded by woodland, Aviemore Youth Hostel is situated on the boundary of the Cairngorm National Park and a short walk from Aviemore town centre, offering an ideal location for outdoor activities.

As a solo female traveller it was great! Rooms were spacious and comfy. Kitchen facilities were excellent! Staff were all super lovely and helpful. Loads of walks in and around the Cairngorm really close, less than ten mins to Aviemore village which has everything you need

    Beautiful lake and mountains around. Big sandy beach. Ideal for paddling, kayaking etc Surrounded by beautiful woodland, lots of hiking and cycling trails. Reindeer herd hill trip was the highlight and worth the money spent.

    Great hiking for either new hikers or someone who really wants to have a casual trip. For more relaxed days the beach at the lake is great and the climate is wonderful for even a day of reading beneath the sky or by a window.
