Excellent rail links, airport is fantastic, shopping centre is pretty good, Bury Park has some great shops for all ethnicities and there are plenty of bars all within walking distances from one another. Considering it won worst town of the UK recently its not that bad, people forget about visiting Stockwood Park, Wardown Park, the outskirting villages, Dunstable Downs, Whipsnade Zoo etc and of course Luton Hoo which are all rather nice places at the doorstep and within Luton.
Hotel was near to town centre, shopping mall has everything. Ate at Nandos, easy to get around, some parts close to town are very dilapidated and dirty especially near the rail station. I was surprised some shops are still operating in such dirty environments.
Luton's Arndale centre is a short walk down the road also a lot of eateries catering for all tastes as the area caterers for many cultures. I found a little chinese takeaway on the corner which i was able to take back to my room which was great. I travelled from Plymouth via train and the train station is within easy waliking distance of the hotel if you are able bodied, if not taxi service available outside the station.
Close to London without costing London prices. Good train links to central London, Wetherspoon pubs ideal for reasonably cheap food and drink. One cautionary note: avoid the taxis at Luton Airport - extremely expensive! Go to Bus Bay E and get bus to Luton town centre for just £2.10.
The city itself has nothing to offer save for the fact that it is a good place for a stopover. On the other hand it is e.g. 1-hour close to Cambridge or Windsor so it may serve as a starting base for attractions around.
It was a perfect place to stay for us as we were catching an early flight. Only ten min walk from the airport, breakfast to grab and go. We were able to arrive late, still have dinner and drinks and leave early so it was very convenient.
It’s unique but extremely well managed and cared for. If you want personality and great character this is your place. Food is awesome with very reasonable prices. Everyone is helpful and cheerful. It’s within walking distance to train and mall. If you have heavy bags take a taxi there as the towns paved streets are rugged. Will definitely stay here again. Also the town of Luton is a great jump off stop to London. As two ladies traveling we always felt safe.
My elderly Mum spent one night at this hotel before her flight out of Luton. She was very impressed with the room comfort, the delicious breakfast and with the very kind lady at reception. She highly recommends this hotel.
