The Bath Hotel offers a superb location, in the heart of the village and directly opposite Lynmouth Harbour and the Lyn River. An excellent breakfast is served every morning.

The hosts Yvonne and Jason give a warm welcome and cannot do enough to make you comfortable. The restored antique furniture was beautiful. Bedrooms were spacious and I loved the hand carved four poster bed. Breakfast was generous and fruit salad wonderful.
The Blue Ball Inn is located in the north of Exmoor National Park, 500 metres from the sea. It offers home-cooked food, a traditional pub and rooms with countryside views.

Location was fantastic, located on the hill top 850' above the sea, car parking was very handy opposite the inn. Room was clean nice size and furniture was a nice size for the room, linen both bedding nice thread count and towels big and fluffy.
We arrived on a Sunday and had Sunday roast for lunch and fish and chips for dinner. A Saxon church is located about 200' from the inn and has grave markers dating back to 1664, the town of Lynmouth is down a very steep hill (12%) with a great history and views.
Overlooking Lynmouth Bay, this charming 14th-century thatched inn is situated on the edge of Exmoor National Park. The Rising Sun Hotel offers fresh local seafood and scenic views.

Very quaint.
Very quaint. It is known as Little Switzerland and certainly lives up to that name. We ate at our hotel The Rock House and at The Village Inn. Also breakfast one morning at The Rising Sun (sister hotel of The Rock House.)Everything is within walking distance. All the shops are gift shops or food outlets. Nearest small supermarkets are up in Lynton, easily accessed by the Cliff Railway. There are no Banks, Post Office or ATMs in Lynmouth. Most pubs and hotels only accept card payments.

We first came here 46 years ago on honeymoon so it was great to come back again for our anniversary (we have visited several times over the years) and not much has changed. It is still beautiful, friendly, quiet and a place we will return to again.

Beautiful village right next to the sea and river that can be explored for miles through National trust walks. Also has an old cliff railway that allows easy excess to Lynton which is high above Lynmouth.

First class place to have a short break.
First class place to have a short break. Lots of walking around the area, good selection of shops, although the majority were closed due to staying in late November. Disappointed the railway wasn't working linking Linton.
Spacious, well appointed and recently refurbished. High ceilings with good light. Perfectly located in the centre of Lynmouth with great views of the sea, river, park and S Wales. Lynmouth and Lynton are lovely and in the perfect location for the best walks like 'Valley of the Rocks' and Watersmeet. The OS North Devon, Exmoor and the Quantocks' has plenty of local walks. The parking space was a massive bonus.
The hotel is right on the sea front and rooms with sea view, which we had look out into the estuary. Great for people watching and watching the surfers. Breakfast was great...preordered the night before and evening meals also good. They make sure that residents are offered tables first. Given there are only 3 or 4 places to eat in the evening some with limited menus it's well worth prebooking
Lovely views along the coast and along the river from the windows and the terrace. Peaceful and quiet location. Friendly and helpful owner on site. Steep walk down through the pretty garden into Lynmouth, a couple of seats on the way back up for a rest. Easy access to lots of beautiful walks without even taking out the car.
We actually stayed at The Rising Sun, Rock House sister hotel across the river. We loved the quirkiness of the old building. The view from our room was lovely, nice window seat. Staff were friendly and very attentive (see my didn't like comments) The breakfast we could not fault. Will definitely stay there again.
The location was perfect for us as we could go on walks from the front door. We also had a beautiful afternoon after coming back from a walk enjoying a beverage and watching the cotton wool clouds come in from the sea down over Lynmouth, but we were still in warm sunshine with blue sky 😁
Lovely hotel in the heart of Lynmouth, can't get any better location. We had a beautiful suite with a small kitchen and fridge, all needed amenities. Had fresh towels daily. Breakfast was great too and a nice surprise for a small hotel. Overall highly recommend if your visiting Lynmouth
Well located hotel in Lynmouth with a good view, the shower was amazing and a great selection of toiletries. Quality of breakfast was high, although we had to preorder the night before which we hadn’t encountered in other places we stayed in along the SWCP
Super helpful staff who responded quickly when we reported a plumbing issue in our room. Very friendly personal service. This historic hotel is in a great position on the front with fantastic views. We had a very comfortable stay and a great breakfast.
Stunning location! Been staying in North Devon for years but staying in Lynmouth was an absolute treat!
We cannot fault the hotel nor its staff!
Me and Partner loved Jeanne, she made us fell so welcome and every morning would have a lovely catch up!
Laura and Jenny were wonderful hosts! Location was perfect…our room had an ocean view. Walkable to all we wanted to see in Lynmouth and Lynton. Breakfast was the best English breakfast we have had since arriving in England!
Lovely hotel in every respect. Jason gave us lemonade and gave my friend a ride to her campsite, and also gave her a walking stick. Such a nice man. Oh, he also sent me off with croissants to eat on the trail.
The bedding was nice, the room was clean and functional. The mattress was comfy. The cooked breakfast was lovely and the service at breakfast was great. The location was excellent, Lynmouth is beautiful.
Amazing location for visiting lynton and lynmouth. Amazing staff , really friendly.
Beautiful hotel with lots of history. The bedroom was massive and the full English breakfast was the best
Everything needed was provided for a "home away from home", including 'welcome' goodies of milk, cake and biscuits. Location is brilliant within Lynmouth and great scenery and walks.
