Lytham St Annes is gorgeous and love the area as we were actually down from Scotland to view properties and relocate here! I would highly recommend Berties cafe in Lytham for day time food as the food and cakes are amazing! I would highly recommend the Grand Hotel to stay in as again the food for evening is superior to everywhere else!
We ate in the local eateries and room service which was delicious stunning views from hotel and walks on seafront lots of amenities good local transport great shopping trip great for kids plenty to do without breaking the bank .
It is always underrated as being for the older generation, I don’t know why we haven’t visited this area before, it’s got a lovely beach, a train station for easy access to Lytham centre or Blackpool if you choose to leave the car behind. We ate tea at The Town House, near the station at St Anne’s on -sea, it was an okay meal, the place itself wasn’t really busy, but it allowed our dog in so we gave it a try. Lovely walks on the beach, or walk up the promenade to Fairhaven Lake or go a bit further and walk to Lytham centre. We walked to Fairhaven Lake and just up a side street near the train station was a lovely little cafe, I think it was called The Bluebird Cafe, if your ever in that area, you must go, the staff were brilliant and all Covid safe procedures followed, we could not fault it. Even in autumn, this place looks stunning, especially when the autumn sun is shining.
We visited the cafe, antique shop and grounds of Lytham Hall. Lovely gardens and walks. We ate at The Deacon in Lytham square. Fantastic food and great selection of drinks. Good relaxing atmosphere and setting. Good choice of local independent shops.
Lovely walks and plenty of well known shops and lovely and clean area. Good bus service to Blackpool or Lytham the other way. Plenty of bars and restaurants. A lovely promenade and plenty of beach huts.
Beautiful beach unfortunately the pier was shut, close enough to go to Blackpool but away from the hustle and bustle, lovely shops and plenty of pubs and restaurants that were dog friendly, weatherspoons offensive sign “strictly no dogs” would not even allow our very small timid dog into their beer garden they must be losing a lot of trade as it’s such a dog walking friendly place to visit!
Lytham St Annes
If you’re looking for a top quality apartment with high end finishes then look no further. This was our first time at apartment 1A( ground floor) and we can 100% guarantee we will be revisiting. The hosts are literally perfection, they have catered for everything. This is a self catered apartment but we were delighted to move into a ‘home from home’ environment. It had washing up liquid, washing machine pods, salt/pepper etc for our use. We regularly use self catering apartments and this one definitely tops the list in terms of the added extras! It was spotlessly clean; high end bed linen and towels/robes, and I’m already trying to source the toiletries for our own home as they smelt devine! The deep pile carpet within the lounge, hallway and bedroom was made for maximum comfort. In a very quiet location but within walking distance to all amenities or bus routes to other areas. The apartment is very spacious with a lovely lounge area (huge bay window and high ceilings with original features). The bedroom, bathroom and kitchen are all thoroughly modern and are of an obvious expensive finish. The double bed was ridiculously comfortable with pillows to match. All in all, we’ve had a wonderful stay and wouldn’t hesitate to return!
Lytham St Annes
Although only continental style breakfast there was plenty of choice with fresh fruit, cereals, cheese, ham and croissants. There was also freshly cut bread to go with the ham and cheese. Staff very helpful and attentive.
