The hotel is nice and was renovated recently. Our room was a bit small but we had everything we needed. The bathroom was really nice and felt luxurious. The bedroom was okay but we stayed for a night and it was very good.

The property was extremely welcoming. You could tell everyone in the pub knew each other, and all of the staff were happily employed there and were looked after by their employer. Everyone was happy to chat to us - both the staff behind the bar and the people using the pub too. The pub was situated in a very quiet area, with the coast literally 30 seconds walk away. The room we stayed in had a huge comfortable bed and large wardrobe. The range of programmes on the TV in the room was also useful. We were concerned when we first arrived to learn we were staying above a pub as we weren’t aware of this before we went, but we didn’t hear a thing. The room was lovely and quiet.

I was visiting family in Macduff but the area is golf heaven, photographers will be overwhelmed with the beauty of the area, walkers are spoiled for choice and the fun that can be had on the sea is amazing.

There was loads to explore and do and it was so much closer...
There was loads to explore and do and it was so much closer to Banff than I thought. Dolphin fish and chips were fantastic and the aquarium was a lovely place to go. Everything is in walking distance which is great.
