The receptionist was very accommodating when she knew I was staying alone, and told me I was safe. The room was cleaned in time for me to have an earlier check-in which I was glad to pay the additional £10 for.

The breakfast was good. Plentiful yoghurts fruit and cereal. Wide selection of cooked breakfast options that were ordered by completing a tick box menu. Prompt, friendly waitress / waiter service.
Comfortable room. Dined in restaurant one evening, good menu selection, generous portions and food properly cooked and presented. Generally friendly staff throughout hotel. Spacious free car park.

The staff at the desk and everywhere else I encountered them were super helpful.
I ate a post-marathon dinner in the restaurant and the food was good value although the race had sapped my appetite. Had the beef ribs one of which just fell lusciously off the bone and the other one a little drier but not so much it wasn't enjoyable.
The room was a good size for this solo traveller and I made use of the spa which was more than adequate for my needs. Highly recommended 👌

Room was ok although we booked a double and they gave us a disabled facility room - which was on the fourth floor as far away from a lift as possible! The fourth floor also smelt strongly of cigarette smoke. Changed us to a double room on a different floor but wouldn't move our daughter as they couldn't change from a twin room, which is strange since they changed us from a double to a disabled double, without us requesting, and back to a double. Staff were lovely but the breakfast was not very nice at all. Didn't bother with it the second morning. The hotel did the job but not an excellent stay.AAnonymous - 8.0Scored 8.0

Ask for a room at back of hotel, due to 24 hour McDonald's people stand around outside talking all night and can hear in rooms. Room, beds, facilities and staff all good just shame about lack of sleep due to people!

The hotel is reasonable, not expensive and has clean rooms with clean bedding and is accessible to the brewery. They do not serve food although the service station is next door you can purchase food from, the hotel sells coupons and has a choice of food. Everything was fine except an extra cost than the online quote when we booked in for my dogs, not previously disclosed, and an excessive amount of dog poo along the front of the hotel right under the windows

The view from the upper floor was lovely!
The view from the upper floor was lovely! Although the hotel is near an industrial facility it was not a problem at all! The hotel is ideally suited to visit Chepstow and the lower reaches of the Wye valley. Also the lower reaches of the Severn. There are some delightful areas nearby (30’). Chepstow and Symonds Yat. We chose the hotel because it was cheaper than those in the towns which were exorbitant due to the ending of Covid hotel restrictions. We are so glad we did as the facilities were excellent! A car is a requirement!
