Quiet and peaceful, Clean and comfortable, beautiful scenery, beds were comfortable, they had the most amazing shower and there was a huge bath in the room too, there was a skylight right above the bed which was grand.

Absolutely stunning hotel. Perfect picturesque setting.
Huge room overlooking a courtyard. All rooms are in small blocks. Very quiet which was perfect.
Spa facilities (indoor pool etc) and gym were excellent. We didn't book in to the outdoor spa although when we return we will book the spa and golf.
Had a lovely meal in the evening.
Staff were very helpful. Check in and check out were fine.
Will most certainly book again.
Highly recommend.

The reception on our late arrival, the rapid arrangements for dinner, excellent menu and choices of wine and beer, excellent room and assistance with luggage in very poor weather. Very popular and therefore parking (on Saturday night) could not be reserved and was not straightforward. Malpas is on a busy narrow high.street.

Staff member (sorry cant remember her name) even said to the gf before we left that me and her were cute together, she seen how we were acting the night before, (honeymoon period) haha. The staff genuinly make you feel like they give a sh*t which can make or break hotels from my experience. Well done The Lion at Malpas 👏

Would definitely recommend .
