This is a lovely pub hotel. Historic, quirky, well looked after. It feels beautifully maintained and fresh whilst being sympathetic to its age. Evening meal delicious. Not cheap, but when the plates arrived each entirely justified their pricing by being special. Pub fish and chips never normally this individual and delicious. Breakfast matched. Staff were exclusively friendly, chatty and helpful.

So peaceful, just the sounds of birds, sheep and the occasional cow. Lovely comfortable accommodation with a big bed and a modern shower room. The breakfast hamper was great and filled us up for our trip to Sissinghurst. We were looking for a little bit of relaxation and that’s exactly what we found.
