This is a lovely pub hotel. Historic, quirky, well looked after. It feels beautifully maintained and fresh whilst being sympathetic to its age. Evening meal delicious. Not cheap, but when the plates arrived each entirely justified their pricing by being special. Pub fish and chips never normally this individual and delicious. Breakfast matched. Staff were exclusively friendly, chatty and helpful.

So peaceful, just the sounds of birds, sheep and the occasional cow. Lovely comfortable accommodation with a big bed and a modern shower room. Beautiful location and accommodation, we felt totally at home as soon as we walked through the door. We had a spacious bedroom en-suite and a large hall and sitting room entirely to ourselves plus a garden terrace overlooking paddocks and beautiful Kent countryside. There is a wood burning stove in the sitting room for colder days which is the type of detail which elevates a good stay into an outstanding one.
