Didn’t like Margate as much as Ramsgate not many pubs there, the only decent place is the mechanical elephant other places were expensive bars which were not my scene no karaoke venues like Ramsgate, just like Guildford the rodboro buildings in the centre and very few pubs in a big town which are all spread out of the town instead of being in the centre, it’s one of those towns with more tea places and diners and less pubs in the towns, can’t beat my number one town Reading in Friar street.

Lots to do and see but be aware everything shut on Mondays.

Lots to do and see but be aware everything shut on Mondays. I visited the Turner gallery, shell grotto, crab museum. I didn't have time to see the caves. Great sunsets. Loads of places to eat. I would highly recommend the Bull's Head for Sunday lunch. Best roasties ever! The Olimpia Bakery does coffee and amazing cakes.

I loved the fact that Seaview was in the old town of Margate, directly opposite Turner Contemporary and beautiful beach. Useful information folder, recommending everything from places to eat drink, visit etc. Loads of free street parking, regular buses to surrounding areas. Everyone was super friendly and helpful, be that in restaurants, shops or the bus drivers. A wonderful experience!

Margate was beautiful they have a vintage market for anyone who loves the vintage look. They have plenty of food bars and a food market we had a meal in a double decker bus it was amazing. The beach was beautiful clean and golden and I even managed to find seaglass to take home . There are main shopping centre but we didn’t get chance to go far .

Margate exceeded my expectations, the old town has some great bars and coffee shops, the old Kent market was a amazing little place with it's micro pub and eateries... Yes there's parts that have homeless people mooching about the the local shop owners ect are so friendly and point you in the right direction, also I found the local cab service brilliant the drivers wew so helpful, you have a art scene there and vibrant diverse community, it's not rolling hills or sedate Cornwall but ticked lots of boxes for me, Beach has lovely sand and little Louisa bay quieter nice little cafe for pitstop, will definitely return... Some parts so run down it hurts but other so up and coming it made it a pleasure to visit oh nip to Broadstairs for Morellis ice cream

The hotel had character as it was old, possibly Edwardian and we like historical buildings. Our room was neat, clean and tidy and we had an en suite toilet and shower room. Reliable WiFi. The room was quite comfortable and there was a TV and tea/coffee making facilities. There was 24/7 reception service. The two owners (whom we met on the last day) were very friendly, welcoming and entertaining, which made us reconsider returning to stay here in the future.

Totally loved it. It was a gem of a place - so central and oh so Boho….had everything you need and bonus spare room for When the snoring kicked in (sea air!?) Property had so many features - kitchen (we only needed the toaster are out most of the time) everything is there that you need - cooker; microwave; dishwasher; et etc etc. I absolutely fell in love with Margate ❤️ Also big thumbs up to Sunetra who was so responsive in her communications.

I had a blissful 2-night stay at The Bay Guesthouse on a business trip. The guesthouse owners Steve & Hannah are lovely, extremely hospitable and made one feel at home. My room was gorgeous, with a great sea view, clean and the most comfortable & cosy bed. The place is very close to all of Margate's attractions and local amenities and the train station is only about a 15-minute walk away. I highly recommend this place and will be staying again.

There were several nice personal touches such as the fresh milk and water in the fridge, and a stick of Margate rock on the bed. The apartment is compact but perfectly adequate for what I needed. The seaside themed decor made me feel like I was on holiday (even though I wasn't). Kitchen was really well equipped. Bed was comfy and I had a great night's sleep which is unusual for me when I am away from home for work.

Location is perfect! And the view is exceptional!! The rooms are very big, and beautifully decorated. we liked the fact you have your own floor. Breakfast is brought to your room and the selection is fantastic! Made us feel very welcome and our little dog was treated like a king while we stayed at the pink house! Best B&B in Margate and fantastic hosts! We will return ♥️

The location was ideal for us, the character of the place was a nice surprise, and the general atmosphere and friendliness of the staff made it very welcoming. We enjoyed the breakfast - next time we come to Margate we will try to spend more time enjoying the hotel, which was not possible this time due to previous engagements elsewhere.

This hotel is really nice and cute. Very close to both Margate station and the beach. You can have a sea view room, and you really see the sea. Owners Kim and Teresa are really lovely hosts, nice and helpful. English breakfast homecooked daily is delicious. Prices are reasonable. All in all, a great option to stay over in Margate.

    - the breakfast is very good - they even catered for my grandson visiting by putting us in the marquee behind the hotel - the staff were very helpful - they even seemed to man the hotel 24/7 which I think is very good and helpful - the location for exploring margate is very convenient

The hotel is close to the sea and a beach (not main beach in Margate but still one you can go to if you prefer the quiet of a remote one), quiet street, and you can access central Margate via a Beach walk too. Clean room and bathroom.
