The Red Lion was a lovely village pub in a very pretty village. For the price the accommodation was excellent and everyone very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was lovely. It was all just as we had hoped and will certainly stay again.

A lovely traditional English inn located in a gorgeous sleepy village with three other pubs and an excellent newsagents plus a Chinese take away (although we didn't use it during our stay).
Excellents hosts who went the extra mile to ensure our stay was perfect.
Excellent value for money. The room was freshly decorated and clean with everything you could wish for.
A really nice place to stay in a beautiful area - Highly recommended.

Metheringham is a very nice small town, with plenty of pubs, restaurants and places to visit. It is very easy and quick to get to other locations in the area and only 20 minutes or so to Lincoln. The town is absolutely ideal for aviation history enthusiasts.

Metheringham is a gem nestled within the Lincolnshire countryside in between Sleaford 12 miles south and Lincoln 10 miles to the north and served by a small train station. It has several very nice eateries including a fantastic Indian restaurant as well as a couple of supermarkets. Metheringham is a nature loving and walkers paradise with easily accessible walking in all directions as well as a beautiful fishing lake. The people are friendly and welcoming. It has everything you could ever wish, for a lovely relaxing break away and a chance to visit the beautiful historic city of Lincoln as well as the surrounding beautiful villages.

The small village of Metheringham appears to have no fewer than 3 fish and chip shops, Chinese take away, Indian restaurant, tea room, and at least 3 pubs serving food. We can recommend Sunday lunch at the White Hart. Add the good-sized co-op, the overall tidiness and the greetings from everyone you pass, and you have an excellent short break countryside destination.

Very easy to traverse a circular walk to take in all the features of the village. Ideal location to reach many of the tourist areas of Lincolnshire. The quantity and quality of food provided at the Lincolnshire Poacher Inn is second to none, but make sure you book in advance so not to miss out!

The village is just a short distance away (walkable) and has everything you would need including lots of pubs, a supermarket, local shops and a petrol station. Food outlets include pub food, pizza parlour, Chinese takeaway, fish & chips and an Indian restaurant.
Awesome communication, caravan was more like a hotel had towels, tea and coffee, the smaller rooms had a proper single bed each not those stupid tiny ones they were very comfortable and the duvet was warm and comfy, the site was so quiet and peaceful a short walk into the village for shops and pubs, easy drive to Lincoln, Sleaford and only an hour to skeggy, was a lovely 2 night break with my mum very reasonable price will definitely be back 10 out of 10 from me superb.
This is great place that is hidden away in the small area of Metheringham. The room was great, very clean and tidy with plenty of parking. The pub/restaurant next door is owned by the same people and had a very friendly atmosphere amongst the owners and everybody staying in the rooms. The food was great and service very efficient.
For the cost this place is a good option if your just looking for an overnight stop without the thrills of a more expensive hotel.
Room was a good size and clean, yes there are some issues but only cosmetic and for the cost to be expected.
Breakfast was good
The caravan is great rural location, a short walk away from Metheringham.
It’s a small site, with fishing lakes as part of the complex.
The van was nice and clean, with the owner very welcoming.
We were staying here for work, for which it was perfect.
Lovely quiet location with a view over the fishing lake. Nice to have cooking facilities and a lot better than just one room in a hotel. The folder in the caravan had useful information such as train/bus times and local pubs.
The Stables were clean, warm and comfortable. They were well equipped, nicely furnished and all you would need. Also very near to the centre of Metheringham, with local shops, restaurant and take aways. All excellent
Property was spotlessly clean, possibly the cleanest hotel we’ve ever stayed in. Plenty of towels and refreshments/tea and coffee making facilities provided.
