The town was quaint and full of history and character, very narrow streets not good for driving. The Pubs (Ship Inn) was excellent including the food if a bit pricey. The restaurants were excellent (Salamander and Polkirk One )Not cheap but good value for money. Very hilly trying to get out of town centre if you're old or athsmatic.Don't book a hotel up Polkirk Hill it's very steep.

Lovely little village and well worth a visit!
Lovely little village and well worth a visit! It has several really good pubs and restaurants. We’ve only ever been in October but I’m sure it would be lovely during the summer! Driving through the village if you need to get to accommodation up the hill can sometimes be a challenge. Just take it slow and not be in a hurry!

Small fishing port with hourly cruise options and fishing charters.
Various gifts shops, clothes shops, restaurants, cafes, etc.
Access is via narrow roads but there is a lot of parking.
Restaurants are mainly mid and high end with main courses roughly £15.00 upwards. Plenty of fish and chips and burgers, sandwich and pasty shops.
Plenty of great views from harbor and surrounding countryside.

Picturesque harbour village, plenty of places to eat out if you book early, the Salamander was our favourite. Locals are friendly and welcoming. Lovely to walk around very narrow streets. Brilliant little coves and beaches nearby, along coastal path walks.

The Harbour was beautiful, we ate at the Fountain inn and the Ship in Mevagissey also the Hewas and the Polgooth inns were excellent out of town.
The roads are very narrow but drivable with care. Would certainly
return for another holiday.
Lower Barns is a gem! A lovely setting carefully curated by two wonderful hosts, Janie and Mike. I stayed after walking 7 days on the South West Coast Path and it was a magical spot to relax and absorb the unique beauty of Cornwall.
The room was cozy, vibrant and well accomodated. Loved the giant tub & comfy bed! Breakfast was delicious and the beautiful, unique grounds made for good wandering. Thanks for a wonderful stay -wish I could have stayed longer!!
Mevagissey Hotels usually have limited parking, at Mandalay there was space for 10-11 cars in the car park, which is a massive yes from me. Tina and her husband worked hard to make our stay enjoyable. not sure about other rooms but ours had a small high level window, you could see out of it but the room and bathroom were spotless. We would definitely stay there again. highly recommended.
The views were amazing. From the bed and the balcony you could see the beautiful harbour. This was the reason we booked to stay here. Breakfast was great. Lots of choices and decent portions. The host was very friendly. The hotel felt covid safe and was very clean. A short walk into the town and to the nearest beach. Handy parking space. Excellent value for money too.
The home is a 300 yr old mill house located on a narrow lane in Cornwall, close to Truro and St Austell. The property has been fully upgraded to modern standards and reflects the pursuit of quality by the owners, Denise and Vic. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this unique and beautiful home. Denise and Vic are talented inn keepers and a real joy to get to know.
B&B was lovely, very clean, and situated in a great location as it's around a 5-10 min walk from the main town of Mevagissey. Hosts, Mike and Caroline, were very helpful and offered advice on the best restaurants and places to visit around the area. Overall, a fantastic B&B, great value for money, and lovely hosts.
From the warm welcome, the spotlessly clean room to the exceptional breakfast, we loved our stay at Stones throw cottage!
The location was absolutely perfect for exploring Mevagissey and surrounding areas of Cornwall.
Thank you, Fran, for looking after us so very well, it was appreciated.
We loved our stay! The hosts were so accommodating and could not have been more helpful. The room was as described and perfect for two adults. The hotel itself was a 5 min walk from Mevagissey centre but still really quiet and peaceful. We would love to go back :)
our hosts John and Elleke were very warm and welcoming to their Hotel which they clearly take a lot of pride in.
it is set up on the cliff with magnificent views of the bay. The Hotel is beautifully and tastefully decorated and our bathroom ( room 9 was superb.)
Very up to date with facilities good quality bed and very well laid out property. Set in the town so no driving around to do,restaurants all in walking distance.
Parking included in the price at a local car park near by which is a nice touch.
The view was stunning, breakfast was absolutely superb the Trevalsa Court Hotel is beautiful, lovely walk down to the beach and nearby to the Mevagissey, which we walked down to and enjoyed.
This is an absolute gem in the South West.
Lovely spacious room, friendly hosts, excellent breakfast, great views over Mevagissey to the English Channel from lounge & breakfast area, helpful book of walks in the area, not far to walk into Mevagissey, very clean & tidy
Nice clean bright room with comfortable bed. Great location, 5 minute walk down into the harbour area and about a 8 minute walk back up, it’s fairly steep but not too bad. owners are very friendly.
We had a lovely stay at the Tremarne Hotel. The accommodation, food, views and friendly welcome were excellent. We had a superb dinner in the hotel and would highly recommend.
Wonderful stay at Mevagissey Bay Hotel! the room was very clean, and we had an amazing view on the sea. Breakfast had many options and was very good. The staff was very kind!
Location is very peaceful and off the beaten track. Near to many lovely local attractions and to enjoy the beautiful local area. Rooms decor are quirky and stylish.
The location is absolutely superb. Best view in Mevagissey and right in the middle of town. The house is beautiful - lots of space but cosy and homely.
