Staff were exceptional - all genuinely very friendly and incredibly helpful.
The decor is lovely, all the interior details of the rooms are really well thought through. And also not at the expensive of comfort, all spaces felt very luxury and relaxing.
Breakfast was also delicious and set everyone up for the day. Will definitely be staying here again!

The location is perfect. Its clean, comfortable and the room I had was very spacious. It was great not to have to step into and out of a bath, it makes the shower much bigger. The breakfast was well cooked and the staff worked hard💪🏻 to make my 4 night stay comfortable

All in all it was the most pleasant and perfect stay and experience to us.We felt there was no bad bits about the place, but is was tastefully decorated and restored environment, going respectfully with the historical era of the building. Delicious food, well thought out everything about customers stay. Many thanks and warm recommendations.

Moffat is a lovely little town with many quirky shops and quite a few short local walks for the adventurers also there are longer walks for the more adventurist especially a 10 mile drive to the The Grey Mares Tail is well worth a visit but the road to it is very narrow in places

All the good things that other reviewers have said are true - this is a superb hotel. I don't want to just repeat what others have said but in summary - high standard of cleanliness, beautiful accommodation and outside space, delicious food, etc - but I'd like to focus on the staff.
We've stayed in hotels all over the world from the Hotel Jellyfish in Nepal ($1 a night) to the Waldorf Astoria in New York and I think what elevates a good hotel into a great hotel is the quality of the staff. At Moffat House the staff are exceptional. Every staff member we've met has been friendly and helpful. Even our dog has been fussed over by the staff. It all felt very welcoming.
We had a very pleasant, relaxing time time here and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Moffat House Hotel.
This is our third visit to the Annandale arms hotel so we obviously like it. We like the location in the middle of town and close to the M74. The rooms are clean and comfortable and there is good secure parking at the rear of the hotel.
We love the small cosy bar and the music nights are exceptional, like having acoustic musicians in your living room.
What makes this hotel is the warm welcome and really friendly staff who work so hard to ensure you enjoy your stay.
We will be back again soon.
We absolutely loved this apartment, it was beautiful and comfortable and interesting! Such a quiet location and yet only minutes from the motorway. It was only a stopover for us on our way back from Scotland, but has definitely whetted our appetite to explore moffat and the area a little more at another time. We just had time to nip into Moffat for a coffee at one of its delightful coffee shops. A very pleasant little town , like something out of a novel.
Nice room, comfortable although small. Nicely decorated. Very handy being on ground floor, so no carrying luggage upstairs. Lovely dining room. Beautiful large sitting room upstairs.Friendly couple running the guest house. Very enjoyable stay. Location beautiful, almost in Moffat centre but in quiet location. Easy access by car to hills for walking nearby.
Breakfast was excellent with plenty of options. Dinner menu is limited but lovely food and they were happy to provide something different from the menu if asked. Hotel is run by a lovely family and staff who go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. Hotel is in a lovely area, ideal for touring and sight seeing southern Scotland and the borders.
The breakfast was superb. With a choice of fruit or cereal to start with and yoghurt. Followed by a full cooked plate. Very tasty sausages. Toast with locally produced jam and good coffee. Really friendly and welcoming. Good stop off for travelling to and from Scotland. Moffat hills to be explored along with an interesting town centre.
The property was very homely and the hosts were lovely.
We had breakfast at the property each morning and the home cooking was delicious.
The room itself was very spacious and the bathroom was massive!
The hosts were incredibly welcoming and informative about the area.
I would definitely recommend this B&B to a friend!
We stayed the second time at Kirkview House and enjoyed it again very much. John is a wonderful host with a wide knowledge. We learnt a lot about Scotland and the spa-town of Moffat. The breakfast was delicous. The room itself is spacious and comfortable as is the bathroom. We can only recommend Kirkview House.
The hotel owners / family went above and beyond to help us. We had an unexpected change in our travel plans and they helped provide numerous ideas on how to handle our situation. Wonderful people and the food was delicious. I would highly recommend this extraordinary BnB.
