I Love Morecambe.
I Love Morecambe. There is a good community feel about Morecambe. i have wonderful Tai reasonably priced massages when I am there. There are street plantings and lots of seating. Good charity shops. Very good eating places. Lots of inspiring street art. The Morecambe bay views and sunsets are fantastic and the northern lights can be viewed from there. We ate plant based food at the Midland Hotel which was reasonably priced. It is easy to get around. the buses are regular and you can get rides in pony traps. I would never go to The Clifton hotel again but it was cheap.

Some of it has been regenerated but it still needs a lot of money investing to bring it up to scratch.
There are very few places to eat at night.
Pubs and bars are run down.
Hopefully the Eden Project will inject new life into it.

Morecambe is in poor shape.
Morecambe is in poor shape. Boarded up and derelict buildings abound. Much of it has the feel of rougher areas of Manchester rather than a coastal resort almost in the Lake District. It also seems too spread out. Instead of the main things being centred around one area, they seem to be dotted about here and there, in a strange, disjoint way.

Had evening meal at the station hotel . Food nice . Looked clean around morecambe . Nostalgic visit on the way back from scotland as my grandma used to live there and hadn't been for over 40 years . Visited Eric morecambe statue .
Everything! It was perfect for what I required! Staff were great! The en-suite room was clean & comfy! Stunning view of beautiful Morecambe Bay from my bedroom window! Close to the beach & Promenade! Centrally based & so very close to all the amenities- pubs, restaurants, shops. -Approx. 5 minutes walk, if that! Buses drop you by the Clock Tower & a very short walking distance to the Hotel! Parking is available across the road opposite the hotel, if none available in the Hotel parking! I would definitely stay here again!
The view from the hotel over Morecambe Bay is astonishing. Having the small verandah overlooking the Bay was great as the sky/view changes minute by minute and it is really beautiful. The meals in the restaurant were very nice for the most part ,especially the kippers at breakfast which were exceptionally good and well cooked. The room was quirky (an amazing pull out toilet door!) and the bed was comfortable and I could understand that the decor was going for an "art deco" vibe. The staff were friendly and welcoming.
Hotel space and Accommodation was of a very high standard throughout.
Cleanliness Standards were unquestionably high.
Staff (Helen in particular) demonstrated a soft approach, very cooperative, friendly and understanding.
Meals were very enjoyable, there was one occasion only , where an issue arose relating to time to take to deliver an order, when challenged the response was professional, timely and understanding which was appreciated.
No issues with pre-booked parking.
Really friendly staff, room lovely and clean, very comfy bed. Had a meal in the hotel which was delicious and a great breakfast, this is going to be our hotel of choice from now on, whenever we go to Morecambe, fab location, The platform music venue is just a short walk away, which is the reason we go to Morecambe. And it's a lovely place for a walk along the prom. Definitely recommend 👌
Great seafront location, lovely views, nice welcome, Trudi and Alan lovely hosts and great, friendly personal service. Fresh ‘cooked to order’ brekkie, and got parked at front door, hotel also with very modern and lovely tasteful decor! Spotlessly clean!!! Some nice ‘personal touch’ items in room too. Excellent value for money and defo happy to return when back visiting Morecambe!👏👏
Very clean rooms, and excellent, friendly service. Room was comfortable, and the rooms with a view have a spectacular view across Morecambe Bay. As it says in the description, Craigwell is right on the sea-front, and in the middle of Morecambe. Also, good wifi for a B&B or hotel and, last but definitely not least, darn good breakfast, too!
Excellent hotel with friendly staff and service . Breakfast very tasty with choices of cereals and full English . Whole hotel was very clean and lovely furnished throughout .
It is in a great location on sea front with its own car park round the back .
Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone venturing to stay in Morecombe.
The hotel is located right on the seafront and is in easy walk of a lot of the amenities in Morecambe, we went for the scooter rally and were literally 2 mins walk from all the venues, which was ideal. Ample parking was available and I couldn't fault the staff they were very helpful.
Lovely little holiday home. Very cosy and very clean. Limited parking but its manageable. Central location, 3 minutes walk to seafront and the dog friendly Morecambe Hotel is virtually next door. Loved our stay house is cosy and well mantained. Its central and superb value for money
