We visited in the winter but still found enough cafes open to be able to get coffees in the day, and an evening meal.
Loved the feel of the place.
Unfortunately I can’t say how it would be in the summer.

We went out of season for this trip as it was for business rather than pleasure. However, having visited New Quay on many occasions over the last 10 to 15 years, we would definitely recommend the Blue Bell Deli and Restaurant, The Penwig, and Crème Pen Cei (the best ice cream on the planet!!!). The main beach is lovely and safe in the summer, with plenty of options for dolphin watching, watersports, crabbing etc. The lifeboat station is worth a visit and the new RNLI shop too. There are a number of small shops selling some good quality products, as well as the usual cheaper seaside fare etc. When the weather is good it is a really lovely place to stay.

The beaches are amazing and the dolphin trips are definitely worth a shot. There are some lovely shops and ice cream! The parking isn’t great unless you get there very early in the morning (not ideal when you’ve been travelling for a few hours). There isn’t a massive amount to do for children, however there are a few activities outside of newquay you can drive through. Our family have been going there for years, it’s a lovely place.

New Quay is a lovely place to visit.
New Quay is a lovely place to visit. There are a number of beautiful beaches and plenty of activities. I highly recommend visiting The Pepper Pot restaurant, great food, great service and a beautiful view when eating outside. There are a lot of hills so getting around could be tricky for some but I found the more i walked the more beautiful the view.

It was lovely coastal town ,plenty of places to sit and watch things going on in and around the harbour. We had a meal at The Penrhiwllan Inn ,food and staff were great and we got in for Sunday dinner too would recommend this is on the road into Newquay .My only disappointment at Newquay were the parking bays but although they were free on the front it was only 3o mins not a lot of time really the main car parks were a bit out of town ,granted only £3 all day ,but i found it very steep in places to walk back up .
The location was as expected, with great views out over the sea, great facilities all you could need, good wifi, parking nearby only £6 for 24hrs. I would recommend staying here and would come back again. Having spent many years visiting New Quay, this was special to be central to everything and to watch the dolphins just outside the harbour. The log burner provided good heat in mid march. A family trip with our 17wk old grandson staying in an historic house overlooking the sea, fantastic stay.
The Penwig is in a fabulous location over looking New Quay Harbour. My husband and I have stayed a couple of times before and I can highly recommend it. The staff go above and beyond to make your stay great. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and there is plenty of choice and the food is of a high standard and quality. The room we were allocated was basically a suite located on the very top floor - it was amazing - thank you for a fab stay once again :o)
Although it was an older model, the caravan was very clean, comfortable and well kept. The site the van was on was lovely, and just a few minutes drive from New Quay itself with beautiful views looking over the sea. We didn't use any of the facilities but the clubhouse looked lovely with a great park for kids and 2 seasonal pools. Great communication with the owner, I would definitely book this accommodation again!
Everything. So clean. Attention to detail. With all the little touches. Tea coffee milk sachets. Washing up liquid. Foil. Cakes on arrival. Took my own bedding but did not need it bedding provided was sooo clean. Internet TV. Even a rechargeable torch. Iron. Hairdryer. Hoover. Had the lot. One of the best stays in new quay so far and been just a few times and more.
Clean (spotlessly), peaceful, close enough to the beach to hear the gentle waves. Shops and eateries literally outside the door. Pay & display parking (£4.50 per 24hrs) immediately behind the garden gate. We will be staying again, New Quay is a jewel on the west coast. We love the place
Modern interior and furnishings finished to a good standard, deluxe hot tub is biggest I’ve ever seen in a property of this nature and good location - close to restaurants and New Quay.
Overall an excellent stay and so lovely to see the new born lambs in the morning. A great place to stay close to New Quay but nicely off the beaten track. Incredibly dog friendly too.
