Great place to base for lake district and south lakes.

Great place to base for lake district and south lakes. Onsite spa relaxing but need to book as limited spaces per session. However use of another pool and sauna is in hotel for guests. Parking difficult at busy times but remember to register with hotel so do not get parking a fine. ate breakfast in hotel made to order as well as cold buffet with lots of choice. Very enjoyable visit.

The garden view room with terrace was ideal as we had a dog and could access the garden easily. The room was a good size. The staff were really helpful The food was delicious. The leisure centre was fabulous The huntsman bar was fabulously decorated and reasonably priced and tasty food. The barman was very polite and professional The reception staff were amazing There is a bus stop outside the hotel Big car park for residents Not far from places of interest

A pleasantly situated hotel on the river.

A pleasantly situated hotel on the river. Our room was large and overall comfy, with a great bed. However, we found the hotel overpriced particularly foodwise which we felt was of standard quality. We had numerous negative feelings and left a day earlier. The hotel did refund a days stay which was good of them. My husband and I have much experience of hotels, Food service, customer service and felt this hotel could be so much better if they revert to first class service. I would not choose to stay there again, sadly.

We used a car so can't comment on public transport but it's perfectly situated just a couple of miles from the southern tip of lake windermere so you can go left or right and access all of the Lake district with ease.

The only negative was that the lakeside allowed Dogs in the hotel. I love dogs but think when you go to an expensive hotel you don’t need dogs staying in the bedrooms. The Huntsman pub was very good for food. While we were eating our meal there were 3 dogs running around the pub and not under control. This was bad owners not bad dogs. Beautiful location

Nice cosy B&B 20 min drive from Bowness-on-Windemere. The room was warm, which was a relief after getting wet during the day. Small bathroom but fine for a weekend. There is only a big overhead shower, no handheld one (personal preference). Colin was super nice and we were able to change our BF time to early morning so we could make the most of the day. He offers a good choice for BF with various cereals, musli, fruit, toast and English BF. Parking is easy on the property. I'd stay again.

Nothing.....The staff were poor, the rates and bar charges were diabolical, the jacuzzi was absolutely toxic, stinking of extra strong chlorine, we had a family room, 2 adults and one child and we had one bath towel and one hand towel between us for 2 days, no breakfast included, so we paid for extra breakfasts at 12.50 each, big mistake, I will never stay at newby bridge hotel again...

This is a lovely hotel with great spa packages and facilities. We stayed for a few nights and ate at the hotel restaurant once, the food was really good. The hotels in a good location for walks and a short drive to popular tourist attractions and hiking spots. We also had a spa package with afternoon tea which was lovely. I would recommend staying

We really enjoyed our stay! It was lovely to receive a warm welcome and the Christmas card and chocolates were a lovely touch. It was great as well to have access to the local Spa hotel, we really enjoyed the facilities. The cottage itself was very cosy and we enjoyed the local scenery a lot.
