A pleasantly situated hotel on the river.
A pleasantly situated hotel on the river. Our room was large and overall comfy, with a great bed. However, we found the hotel overpriced particularly foodwise which we felt was of standard quality. We had numerous negative feelings and left a day earlier. The hotel did refund a days stay which was good of them. My husband and I have much experience of hotels, Food service, customer service and felt this hotel could be so much better if they revert to first class service. I would not choose to stay there again, sadly.

The only negative was that the lakeside allowed Dogs in the hotel. I love dogs but think when you go to an expensive hotel you don’t need dogs staying in the bedrooms.
The Huntsman pub was very good for food.
While we were eating our meal there were 3 dogs running around the pub and not under control.
This was bad owners not bad dogs.
Beautiful location

Lovely hotel,quiet location.
Lovely hotel, quiet location. The staff were fab, very welcoming and friendly. The room we had was gorgeous, beautifully decorated and furnished, all aspects of hotel excellent . We didn't use the pool or spa but would definitely use next time we visit.
Food in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner was very very good.
Nice cosy B&B 20 min drive from Bowness-on-Windemere. The room was warm, which was a relief after getting wet during the day. Small bathroom but fine for a weekend. There is only a big overhead shower, no handheld one (personal preference). Colin was super nice and we were able to change our BF time to early morning so we could make the most of the day. He offers a good choice for BF with various cereals, musli, fruit, toast and English BF. Parking is easy on the property. I'd stay again.
Our stay was lovely! couldnt recommend Newby Bridge Caraven Park enough. After needing to change the date due to the loss of my Father the staff were so helpful. The caravan was lovely spacious and modern and the little touches of the bag of treats/toys for our dog and the bottles of prosecco on arrival were extremely thoughtful. This is the 2nd time i have stayed and will definately be back.
From start to finish the staff were all so accommodating. They couldn’t do enough to help. I was given a later check out to allow me to use the pool facilities before checking out. The hotel is so dog friendly- the pub is brilliant too. Great food. Great views . Will certainly be returning. :) thank you Newby Bridge for a wonderful stay.
The staff in the hotel and restaurant were friendly to our family. The pool was great for the five year old as had a separate childrens area. Our family room was clean, well equipped and very spacious. Dinner was tasty but seemed expensive.
Was a short walk only to the steam train to Lake Windermere.
We really enjoyed our stay! It was lovely to receive a warm welcome and the Christmas card and chocolates were a lovely touch. It was great as well to have access to the local Spa hotel, we really enjoyed the facilities. The cottage itself was very cosy and we enjoyed the local scenery a lot.
Everything about my visit to the Newby Bridge hotel was perfect.
The room was lovely and the view of the garden was beautiful. Was very pleased to spend time in the pool. Staff were lovely and helpful. Really pleased with the overall experience.
Location of hotel overlooking the river ,peace and quiet of the hotel, staff second to none despite being short staffed, food served was excellent quality and well presented, good selection of beers on offer and spa facilities were good ,
Love the swan and have stayed many times but felt this time it seemed a little tired ...faulty shower...faulty electrics in our room
Love the food love the friendly staff love the location always inspired by the decor
Property was nice. Room was a bit dated and could have done with a really good clean. Missing picture on wall. Staff in reception and the bar was nice and friendly. Spa area was nice and clean, but pool was very cold.
We paid for superior room.
Often that is a slightly bigger room.
This hotel it is a jacuzzi bath, a lake view and a 4 poster bed.
Breakfast also a decent buffet style.
Spa was great. Staff very friendly. Restaurant was good, varied menu, lots of gluten free options although no gluten free sausages at breakfast. Easy parking
