Hotel was lovely and relaxing, clean and warm.

Hotel was lovely and relaxing, clean and warm. Helpful and friendly staff. This hotel was in a fabulous location for sightseeing in the area. Lots of places to visit and some great walks. The menu was quite restrictive for me and also my husband is trying to not eat meat at the moment so his choices were restricted. We would definitely stay here again and I would recommend this hotel to friends and family. Next time we would maybe eat out some evenings in local restaurants.

It's a big rambling hotel with good rooms and bathrooms.

It's a big rambling hotel with good rooms and bathrooms. Not used it but the spa seems excellent. bar staff good and friendly but drinks on the pricey side. Food not that imaginative and limited but the breakfasts are excellent. Rather pricey at certain times of the year for a country hotel; we paid as much for two nights as we did for three earlier in the year. Reception is crowded and small with computer systems driven by steam. Can be noisy with wedding guests. Altogether a good place if youlike the country setting, use the spa and leisure facilities and don't mind paying a bit over the odds for food and drink.

my wife and I| enjoyed our stay at Redworth Hall Hotel from 7 to 9 October. The hotel is a lovely place to visit with friendly, willing staff to help us. Our ground floor room 110 we were given was very nice with a double bed that was comfortable to sleep in, on suite facilities, a television and wi-fi plug sockets. The full english breakfast was very tasty to eat and the staff very friendly. The only fault was the pull down lights next to our bed which would not turn off without tissue paper being put into the cranny. My wife told the maintenance men about the problem and was told it was a new addition to the bedroom facilities but they would look into the problem. Overall though a very pleasant stay and we would go again if in the area..

We didnt stay at the hotel after a very poor experience.

We didnt stay at the hotel after a very poor experience. Too dirty for us. The exterior is beautiful and the hotel could be fantastic it needs money spending and a decent maintenance person to fix the broken fittings. Eg the chandelier in the room right of reception the fixtures are half way down the wiring. Very very disappointing. I didnt get the opportunity to sample what looked like beautiful countryside as we had to drive home the same night I refuse to sleep in a dirty shabby room. The carpets were filthy all over, they looked like oil had been spilt o them in main walkways.

We only visited and stayed at the Redworth Hall hotel which was very good. Ideal for our trips around the county. Durham cathedral was great, but we visited the castles, Middleham, Barnard and Richmond. We particularly liked Middleham castle and village. Richmond was also a lovely town. An excellent pub for food was the George and Dragon at Heighington village nearby.

Everything has been thought of - we arrived just before 10 pm - and with the grandchildren and it was so homely and the wee ones settled down for the night with ease - the area is right in the middle of Newton Aycliffe a short walk from the shops but it's really quiet and peaceful. There's games in the living room so the kids were well entertained. We would normally stay in a hotel in the area when coming down to visit family- we have found staying at Bewick Crescent to be more relaxing and will definitely be back.

The hotel was in a great location and looked great. I drive an electric car and on arrival there were lots of chargers available and although it took a little time to download the app was able to charge. The grounds are fantastic, and the SPA was fantastic and well equipped although I did not use the facilities you could see that this was of good quality. The restaurant breakfast was nice and the staff in the restaurant were nice and attentive. The normal lovely north east welcome.

The bed was so cosy and the breakfast was delicious and exactly how you would expect a home cooked breakfast to be, would recommend and will return, lovely hotel with a warm welcome from each member of staff, nothing was too much trouble was made to feel really welcomed. Durham city is absolutely worth a visit with lots and lots of restaurants and bars dotted along the river bank. Ness👌

The hotel is beautiful inside and out. We had a room facing the pool although we didn't get to use the pool on this occasion as we didn't have our costumes as it was an unexpected stay. We were visiting the area and it was getting late to return home so found this hotel to have a cheeky stay over. Will definitely like to visit again if in the area .
