The location was well situated near the motorway but not so close that noise pollution invaded the room and created difficulty sleeping or any other discomfort. Only a short walk to Basingstoke town centre for breakfast, lunch and dinner and also to have a look around the town and shopping centre. The room was larger than expected, very modern, nicely decorated and clean. The bar area on the ground floor was well decorated, clean, the staff were really nice and helpful and the whole hotel had a really nice atmosphere.

Since I grew up in Odiham it brought back memories of being in the quaint little village of Odiham the village itself doesn’t off absolutely everything you would need during a little staycation however Basingstoke is only 15 minutes up the road and does have pretty much everything you would require. I do highly recommend a walk to the Canal it is absolutely beautiful and with the sunshine it’s quite the sight you simply cannot go wrong!

Take a stroll down the lane to the canal where you can take a boat trip or have a drink in the pub garden. If you're up for a walk then follow the canal path to Odiham castle and loop back around into the village. There's some beautiful corn fields behind the church that are also worth a stroll though. After all that walking there's a great selection of restaurants, pubs and cafes for re-fuelling, plus a couple of lovely antique shops.
The breakfast was delicious. So much choice, cooked to perfection and plentiful. And, cloth napkins!
Bedroom was very comfortable and clean and I loved being in my own "area"
The washing products were delightful
And the sloe gin was an added bonus
Staff were amazing, helpful, on top of everything and nothing was too much trouble
Easy parking too.
Would definitely stay again.
Odiham is a very pretty and historical area which was interesting to walk around.
Loved the idea for each room to have an aircraft name. The purpose of our visit to Odiham was to discuss the 60th anniversary of the RAF Belvedere helicopter. This type the first twin rotor - entered service in 1961 and a Belvedere was used to install the spire structure on the newly built Coventry Cathedral in April 1962. Sadly - after participating in military exercises one of the new fleet crashed in Germany three months later. See www.RAFBelvedereXG464/info
The hotel is very old with quirks you would expect, steep stairs and uneven floors, that add to its charm.
Our room (Oriana) was well decorated and clean , with a large bathroom and a comfortable ( if a little firm) bed.
There was great attention to detail with excellent toiletries, fresh milk for tea and coffee in individual mini milk bottles.
The property had been very nicely furnished and is an excellent location in the middle of lovely village of Odiham. It was also very quiet despite its central location. The owner was extremely helpful and responsive. The parking could not have been more convenient. We would be very happy to stay hear again. The bathroom was very nice.
Absolutely wonderful stay at the hotel. The staff made the stay better. Everyone greeted us and helped us with a smile. Food was excellent. We had breakfast and dinner at the restaurant and both were fantastic. Service was brilliant. Keep it up
Odiham is a lovely village. Red Lion location is in the High Street and close to everything. The twin room booked is lovely, exposed wooden beams and high pitched ceiling. Amenities great and we had a lovely breakfast before we departed
Staff was welcoming and friendly. Location was ideal on the High Street in Odiham. Breakfast was excellent. Room was well laid out and nicely decorated. Bathroom was spacious and bright. Robes were provided.
Very nice place, on the high street in Odiham. Parking is on the high street but it doesn't cost everything in the evening. Very nice rooms, good size and very comfortable.
