Receptionist welcoming. Atmosphere nice decor very pleasant.
Staff very helpful especially Duncan, and Rosie and day manager.
This 17th century inn is situated in the beautiful village of Turvey, a quintessential English village just 10 miles (16 km) west of Bedford and just a short drive from Northampton and Milton Keynes.

We had a lovely warm welcome and all staff were lovely & friendly. We were shown to our room by a lovely lady not sure if she was the owner or general manager but she was very attentive. We stayed at number 12 the stables and we were really impressed with the cleanliness of the room the bathroom especially. Really comfy beds and pillows which was a bonus. We stayed after being at silverstone for the F1 on the Sunday so we arrived later in the evening and they had stopped serving dinner which was fine as there were a chip shop open opposite and the hotel was kind enough to supply us with some plates and cutlery so we could eat in our room. The breakfast was delicious and good quality cooked fresh to order. We found the hotel great value for money, we will definitely be back. Thanks for a lovely stay even though it was short

Olney is a lovely old town / village , with lots of lovely old buildings to look at , charming people who have all the time in the world to talk to you, lovely places to eat , drink , independent to shop at , lots of traditions like the Olney pan cake ran and lots of quiet spaces to reflect on life . An ideal place to get away the hustle and bustle and maybe take up drawing and painting if that’s your thing ?

Olney has a village feel about it in every respect.
Olney has a village feel about it in every respect. Nice friendly people and plenty of varied places to eat and drink.
Only downside is the traffic, which is busy and continuous on the"A" Road that forms the main street.

Just a lovely small market village with a few very nice pubs and restaurants, lovely courtyards and coffee shops and a handful of local artisan shops for browsing. Just lovely for a two day break - not much to do but perfect if you just want some peace and chill in a relaxed & sleepy environment.

Olney is a great little English village.
Olney is a great little English village. Nice pubs, restaurants, and a weekly market. More importantly it is centrally placed for various places of interest etc., including Milton Keynes for its shopping, and various midland cities and towns.

Quaint shops to look around and plenty of clothes shops.
Quaint shops to look around and plenty of clothes shops. Plenty of choices of food in pubs and restaurants. Lack of parking and far too much traffic for a small maker town. Breakfast in The Cherry Tree was delicious and staff more than helpful. Lunch in the Conservatory a little disappointing with tepid coffee.
Hotel by name but not by function, this is a guesthouse.
A very friendly owner, great location, easy parking, very clean, but very basic guesthouse.
Bed was very comfortable, but there were no surfaces to put things on, there was a small table with tv & kettle on. Would have been better to have tv on wall, another bedside table, a hook on the door for coats & some hand wash rather than the tiny box soap would have made the stay more comfortable.
Would stay again if in area.
My daughter had her wedding reception at Olney community centre which was near by . We only spent one night there but we had everything that we needed . Tea , coffee and milk was already there and there was a cooker so we could cook our own food and an outside area which would be lovely in the summer .
Location was perfect for being near our friends to celebrate a christening,it’s only five minutes from olney village and easy access to m1 motorway. The breakfast was excellent and lots of choices and the owners are very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us, we would definitely return.
The location was great. the room was large and clean. The bed was comfortable and the area was nice and quiet. Tracey was very pleasant and accommodating. I will definitely stay again for my next visit to Olney.
Lots of old world charm, very comfortable, big room, tea tray with real milk, lovely atmosphere, good breakfast, staff were excellent, great value for money, Olney is a quaint town.
Last minute booking, I stay in multiple hotels each week and this was up there with some of the best. Room was great, the service also. Are in the bar which was very welcoming.
Location for an event in Olney was perfect. Short walk through to the high street, parking out front included, ease of access, new bathroom, lots of storage if required.
Excellent location for a short stay in Olney. Room was cosy very warm and spotless. Hotel owner very welcoming. Suited my needs for a short visit to family.
