Paignton has a long flat beach, with plenty of gardens and a long promenade. There’s plenty of parking,(to pay)a good range of easily accessible shops from the front, and a local cinema there. The bus and train stations are very handy, and I can throughly recommend the buses, which run every 10 minutes, and gave me free access to Brixham and Torquay.A much easier option than worrying about going in the car,and the difficulties involved in finding a parking space.

Paignton has a long beach, all sandy as far as we could tell (too cold to partake) and a very pleasant esplanade. Main street has too many casiono/slot machines for our taste but also plenty of bars and cafes. Henry's Bar seemed the best with more real ales than the others.
Paignton bus station is a hub for transport to neighbouring towns, such as Totnes and Brixham, and including Exeter and Plymouth further afield. Also a regular train service to Exeter and beyond (Teignmouth and Dawlish especially). Steam trains to KIngswear for Dartmouth on selected days (Note: buy a return ticket even if you plan to only go one way by train as it covers the ferry crossing both ways). Great fish restaurants in Brixham by the harbour.

Paignton is a cesspool, much like Torbay and England as a whole.
Human rights abuses are committed routinely by Torbay Council, the filth, dpnhst, tsdft and many more services and individuals.
Abuse that has left me, a disabled and vulnerable man homeless through no fault of my own.
By visiting Torbay, you support this abuse.

Over the last 40 years I've been going to and from Torquay and Nearby Paignton although I've never seen Paignton Close up, while I was there one evening me and my party had dinner at the Redcliffe Hotel then we went for a drive my sister did not eat at the hotel because she fancied fish chips, so i look for a Fish and chip shop, when I found one I ordered Cod and chips the was Price £14.00 we then went back to the Redcliffe Hotel, when she opened the package there were four large pieces of cod and a whole amount of chips enough for 4 people that was very generous of them.

Lots of good cafe’s where you can sit inside or outside and people watch. Easy to get around on foot. Excellent theatre and Vue cinema. The Pier has a couple of eating places but is mostly slot machines; there is a putting green at the end though. Typical British seaside town with fish and chips and amusement arcades. Lots of hotels in front of the beach. Architecture is stunning.
I wouldn’t bother with the main shopping area in future, typical seaside tat I’m afraid.
Nothing. The place was not as described. We had to leave and find somewhere else to stay. (The Queens Hotel, Paignton as it happens, which was fine).
I am not particularly fussy when it comes to hotels, but The Parkers Arms was by far the worst place I've seen. I've been regularly booking hotels with Booking.com for around 15 years, and never left a bad review until now.
I'm amazed Booking.com allow them on the platform TBH.
Stayed 4 nights at CleveCourt Hotel in Paignton owners always made you feel welcome when i arrived at CleveCourt Hotel was shown to my room had a nice surprise as the owner put me into a different room to what I booked had double bed and balcony with a lovely view to the sea Breakfast was spot on and lovely always had a full belly before you plan and start your day i would definitely stay again and is value for money
Room, not the biggest but good view of beach and Paignton pier. Staff, as always, very friendly and helpful. Breakfast very good and cooked to order. Old building with lots of character has been granted planning to upgrade. Hopefully this will be done sympathetically in keeping with the interior character. Bed was comfy and hotel clean. Have stayed before and will certainly stay again.
Alan & Trish & Gemma has been very kind in hosting us. They took care of every little detail we mentioned. The breakfast was delicious, and so was the location. Cherry Tree Hotel made us like Paignton a little bit more. Alan & Trish even helped us with local sight seeing recommendations. Thanks, Alan and Trish, for making our stay so wonderful.
Friendly owners, good communication. Room was clean and the front garden is nice. Free parking when hotel not too busy. Located right in the middle of Paignton with easy access to the beach and pier. Visited during Easter holiday and pier attractions were open till 10pm which we could hear from our room however that wasn't an issue.
We stayed in Paignton with family, the hotel is dog friendly which was perfect for us. Everything was great! Staff were very friendly&helpful, fantastic food, rooms, the beds so comfy and hotel facilities excellent. I would highly recommend it to anyone and we will definitely be back when in Paignton again. Thank you :)
The hotel and staff were so lovely, we loved the old style charm. Everywhere was immaculately clean, we had the pool to ourselves and it was so warm. Our room was a really spacious size, great bathroom and sea view. The breakfast was one of the best we have ever had, staff couldn't do enough for you.
Vernon the owner was attentive to detail and also offered me and my wife an extra night in upgraded accomadation at a cheaper rate , i could not accept the offer due to work commitments. He then offered us a lift to the rail station, again we declined the kind offer as only 10 minutes walk.
I love St Weonards it's the best B&B in Paignton in Devon fact period! Such a clean environment such a lovely smelling environment like home from home. This B&B is 100 % out of 100% if I could live there I most certainly would & wouldn't have any issues in living there at all.
The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Our room was cozy with a lovely comfortable bed. The staff were friendly and attentive. Entertainment was provided. The grounds were kept nice and we were able to sit outside and relax. The breakfast was good.
Very close to the seafront with lots of attractions within walking distance, including a cinema. Breakfast was excellent. Mo and her family are lovely and the rooms were clean. This is a great base for exploring South Devon.
This was our second visit as the first was amazing. Once again lovely hosts, large comfortable room with sea views. Bed is amazing, breakfast and cleanliness too. Definitely be back for a third visit.
The room was large. The cooked breakfast was good. The hotel is near the beach, the train station and the bus station which are ideal for taking a day trip to other towns.
The hotel is a large imposing building overlooking the Paignton Esplanade, the rooms are clean and comfortable.
Evening meals are good, but the menu is a little sparse.
