Situated in the outskirts of Aberdeen and surrounded by forests, Ardoe House is the perfect place for an escape from a busy week!
We had a lovely room on a higher floor overlooking the grass field, it was very peaceful. Comfortable bed, good Wi-Fi, amazing rainforest shower!
We enjoyed the swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna, all facilities were clean and were great for a relaxing evening.
Breakfast was incredible! The member of staff who was running the front of house at the restaurant was lovely, I wish I remembered her name.
I forgot my glasses at the hotel and phoned, glasses were left down at reception for me to collect whenever I can. That saved me a lot of money!
The hotel is dog friendly too, there's a separate wing with rooms for people visiting with their four-legged friends.
We had a very warm welcome from Alison. The room was comfortable and very clean. The bed linen and towels beautifully clean. We had twin beds which were very comfortable. The tea and coffee tray was really good and we had a bottle of water in our room. The shower was amazing. Breakfast was superb. We also had the honour of meeting lovely Stanley the dog. Thank you for a super stay and we would definitely recommend.

We only ate in the Chinese restaurant, which was excellent.
We only ate in the Chinese restaurant, which was excellent. Most of our time we were self-catering or eating at the events we attended in the Crathes area. We were in the area for a week-long event based at Crathes castle so weren't in Peterculter village/town very much. Lots of good walking in the area, the bus services are regular in both directions, Aberdeen and Banchory.
