The location is very central and just a five minute walk from the bus station. The staff were all friendly and welcoming. The hotel is quite old fashioned, but I like that. Room was spacious and very quiet so I slept well. There is a cosy bar with a nice open fire. All in all an enjoyable and comfortable stay

Owners were brilliant from start to finish, made us feel at very much at home. The pool was amazing. Hot tub wasn't working but waived the fee for the sauna instead which was a great gesture. Only disappointing thing was that we were only there for 1 night! Will certainly be back!!
Lots to do. We very much enjoyed the prison museum although it was very cold inside the prison. The super trawlers at Fraserburgh are worth a visit and it was good to see the seals at Newburgh and the kids loved playing in the sand dunes.
One evening we had dinner at the Seaview Hotel at Boddam which was excellent and would definitely recommend. We hadn't booked and felt lucky to get in (on a Monday in February) as it was very busy. The children's meals were beautifully presented.

It's a bigger town than we realised.
It's a bigger town than we realised. Decent options for things like fast food and supermarkets (retail park) for a town of this size t.b.f. not a great selection of restaurants we used KFC & Marston springs hotel there however there was an indians in town otherwise it was mostly cafes that were closed in the evenings and some restaurants closed all day on Monday/Tuesdays. There were plenty of pubs but Wetherspoons is easily the cheapest for food/drink if your not looking for entertainment or upmarket grub. The local golf course is fantastic particularly the middle and finishing stretch of holes. It's a bit of a trek from the car park to the clubhouse however. We found taking a few back roads out of Peterhead towards Aberdeen westwards was a good deal quieter than the main road, especially if there are roadworks due to the sheer volume of traffic using this road and especially in the evenings where people were returning from the aberdeen city area at tea time/drive time.

Lots of good places to see around the area.
Lots of good places to see around the area. The Prison is a must for a great experience. Lovely beaches in the area too. Seal Beach is a must but needs a small strenuous walk over sand dunes to get to it.

I liked the Peterhead prison tour.
I liked the Peterhead prison tour. Other than that it’s a very quite little town would like a visit myself or with other adults but found it quite hard to entertain my 15year old daughter. We found ourselfs driving around the country roads which are are lovely and plenty of them lol

Peterhead is a town like so many others that have seen the demise of many shops. It is not a pretty town, very much a working town, dominated by the fishing port. Plentiful parking. However, there a lot of interesting places in the area, golf, castles, beaches, wonderful fish and chips to name a few. Did not eat in Peterhead this time so no comments for this.

My first impression of Peterhead is that is like a piece of Russia in Scotland. The dour, grey buildings are in some cases reminding me of Communist architecture. Nevertheless, this is not a bad town. I was here primarily to walk the Formartine and Buchan Way, which uses the former railway trackbed from Aberdeen (Dyce) to Peterhead and Fraserburgh via Maud Junction. I have walked about 55 miles in 4 days, and Peterhead makes a convenient base with good bus services to Ellon, Mintlaw and Fraserburgh.
The Dolphin Cafe in the harbour area proved well worth a visit - excellent fish and chips. Well priced and friendly staff.
Trudy went above and beyond to to ensure my stay was as pleasant as possible. Unique building added to the overall experience. If you like old timey properties, this is definitely one for you. OH! and breakfast, that was a cherry on top that made my day. Definitely a nice change to regular accommodation in hotels when you are working away from home. Very reasonably priced. 12/10, definitely recommended!
I liked the fact that Aspen showed up online, as many of the guest houses in Peterhead have little online presence. The room was very clean, the bed comfortable and the shower was hot. I didn't need a refrigerator, but there was a good-sized one in the room. My heavy suitcase was carried up lots of clean, carpeted stairs for me. There isn't a rug in the room, so bring slippers or socks.

No surprise that the Seaview Hotel has excellent views.
Easy walking distance to the harbour, the lighthouse and shoreline
Evening meal and breakfast were lovely and good value
Staff were very friendly
Short distance to Slains Castle and the Bullers of Buchan - 2 must see visits
Extremely delighted with the ladies hospitality.

Room was fantastic and exceeded our expectations
Perfectly clean and comfortable
If we are back in the area we would definitely book again
Mary was just the perfect host and was made welcome on entering until leaving.

The staff were very helpful with our assessable needs, nothing was too much trouble for them. The room was clean and the bed was nice and comfortable. Great room, this hotel should be 4 ⭐ not 3 ⭐
This guest house is exactly what I need when staying in Peterhead for work purposes. The host makes the check in very easy regardless of the check in time
Great little spot close to everything. Comfy beds and delicious breakfast. Checking in was a breeze. Would recommend if spending the night in Peterhead
