The views were lovely, the cabin was beautiful and had lovely decor. A lot of outside seating which would be nice in the summer.

Situated in the Brecon Beacons National Park, Nant Ddu Lodge offers 3-star accommodation in stunning South Wales. It has a spa, a swimming pool, and a fitness centre on site.

We have frequented Nant Ddu many times in the past but not for a number of years. The quality of the staff is every bit as good as it has been in the past but the property is in urgent need of investment for it to be acceptable.
Perfectly situated within the Valley and on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park, the hotel’s position allows easy access to many of the sites of interest in the area
A new and vibrant hotel,...

The staff were amazing, I say staff it was one lady with a bad knee doing everything on her own. She was polite, efficient and friendly a credit to
The hotel. The chef and sous chef were really friendly and polite, the food was really good and value for money.
Lovely location and really comfortable beds. We didn’t use the BBQ but it was incredible! Would come back to explore the area.
Make sure you ask for rooms to be made up as a twin if you need it. They did sort it for us, but there was a possibility it might not happen as the housekeeper was on holiday

Good base, easy access to all Brecon Beacons locations.
Good base, easy access to all Brecon Beacons locations. Pontsticill is beautiful, the reservoir is stunning and there are nice walks near it and on the taff trail. There are two pubs in the village, we haven’t used them yet as you need to book a few days in advance, and we weren’t that organised. The Brecon Mountain Railway journey starts at Pant which is a few miles away, which we would recommend it’s a short trip but the views are stunning.

The reservoir was lovely to walk by.
The reservoir was lovely to walk by. It is a good base for exploring the Brecon Beacons. It has two pubs in the centre, both do food. The Red Cow appears to be more of a food based pub and the Butchers Arms is more of a relaxed drinking pub. We didn’t go to either of the pubs as we hadn’t booked (covid times). The nearest shop is 2-3 miles away and the nearest good sized town (Merthyr) is about 4 miles away so it is worth stocking up on essentials before you arrive.
