Amazing choice of food for breakfast. A range of meals were available for evening meal and there was also a Sunday carvery had we wanted this. Our standard room was clean and comfortable ideal for weekend. Very friendly and helpful staff who phoned to say they'd found some medication when cleaning our room (although it wasn't ours and we never saw it!)

Nothing as we didn’t get to stay. When we turned up they told us the rooms were out of use. They had taken our booking but didn’t bother to let us know we couldn’t stay

The property was clean & comfortable & had everything we needed.
It was dog friendly with a secure garden.
We loved the chickens, the lovely rural location &, for us, the fact it was located midway between our family members.
There was also a very dog friendly pub a short walk away.
The owner couldn't have been nicer too.

We stayed near Pontefract specifically to visit Wentworth Woodhouse and Brodsworth Hall. We found we were near to Nostell Priory which is actually a stately home so went there as well. These are all interesting places to visit, and the grounds are great for nature walks, also have children's play areas. All serve refreshments, and Wentworth also has an International Tea Room and pre-booked Afternoon Teas. We ate our breakfast and evening meals in the Jacobean Bar at Rogerthorpe Manor Hotel, and had some refreshments at the places we visited. We found them easy to drive to. We also enjoyed walking round the village of Badsworth and along footpaths to neighbouring villages. I would consider spending another weekend here and wouldn't avoid anything. Definitely recommend the venue.

They put us in room 8, this room didn’t have any windows, all it had was a sky light on the flat roof, they was no blind or window covering, we was woken by the daylight at 6.15am. Think this is the worst room I’ve ever stayed in. The chair in the room was only fit for the stip

This holiday venue was very beautiful plenty of open grounds for multipule activities unfortunately if you are not a driver it is not easy to get around as transport is not readly available.
Although the staff has taxi numbers some local cab firms do not always have availability but that still will not stop us from commong back for a shirt break if you want to relax.

People of Pontefract are warm and friendly.
People of Pontefract are warm and friendly. Would recommend the Liquorice bush pub. Lovely real ale and friendly staff. Hope and Anchor has real ale and a couple enjoyable nights in there.
Not much accommodation too near the town.
The man who greeted me was great and his customer service was excellent. Answered my questions about local amenities and actually showed me to my room (very rare these days) Made me feel at home. Top bloke - Thankyou. The hotel is what it is - at a price which reflects that. Don't expect the Hilton at this price and you won't be disappointed... it was clean, tidy, cheap! (and in a central location, close to the motorway).
The apartment was perfect for our needs, and so much better than our original plans to stay at the Premier Inn. The location was great, so close to the town centre. Having our own entrance made it feel so much like home. It was also much more pleasant to work from than a hotel room, and the kitchen facilities meant that we didn’t have to spend so much on restaurant meals etc.
Breakfast was one of, if not the best, breakfasts we’ e had during our 2 week stay in hotels across the UK. The hot menu was complete and prepared perfectly. We did have dinner the previous night and the atmosphere food and overall experience was very nice! Katie was one of the standout help during our stay.
I can't recommend this place enough, it has everything you need for a home away from home. It's handily close to the centre with everything in easy walking distance. Quentin was always a fantastic help, from extending my stay to the minor issues that arose. I'll definitely be booking again in future.
The flat is in Pontefract, which not itself a great destination, but it is close to other places to visit.
Also it is great value for money. It was a flat on two floors, with 4 double bedrooms and two bathrooms. And it was quiet for a flat close to a main road.
A wonderful property which was spotless very tastefully decorated to suit its character! The views and it’s grounds was astounding, we booked the hotel because it is near pontefract horse racing and town centre! A gem of a hotel !
Came for my brothers wedding. Gorgeous location. The hotel very clean, staff helpfull. Food was very nice.
The bedroom spacious, clean. Very comfy bed.
Good value for money. Will stay again and reccomend to others x
nothing was up to standard
cleanliness very bad, under the bed was bits of rubbish, bed linen ripped, head board of bed stained
Very noisy as disco till 02,30 and the hotel bar is very dated and scruffy
One of my favourite hotels. Generous rooms, friendly staff, excellent food. Very comfortable. Hard to find better quality accommodation close to the A1
