It’s a beautiful property, it’s a shame the weather wasn’t very nice when we visited because the outside space is lovely! However the bar/lounge area was very welcoming.
Our room was great, comfortable beds and had everything we needed.
Staff were friendly and helpful.

The cleaner was a nice lady who helped me move my belongings to a new room on the second day. Apparently the food there is good but I had no appetite as I was travelling for 2 funerals.

Very comfortable room, not too small. Really good water pressure in the shower. Nice bathroom. All very clean.
Friendly and helpful receptionists.
We enjoyed our evening meal and breakfast. The coffee was pretty food for a machine (2 Italians in our group).

I liked everything about my stay in Pontypridd, both the town itself and the hotel. The hotel has a sister property, which is a bar and restaurant and this was excellent for food. The town has a wonderful park in its' centre, with a beautiful Lido.

Pontypridd surprised us, in a good way!
Pontypridd surprised us, in a good way! It had very vibrant indoor and outdoors markets which offered a huge variety of items. The meat stalls looked wonderful. The shopping centre was equally diverse with some 'chain' stores but many independent stores too. There were some lovely shops selling unusual baby clothes and a fantastic flower shop, Elyn Boutique Faux Wedding Flowers, which specialised in wedding arrangements and flowers which had the most amazing display outside. As we were staying there so we could attend a wedding celebration nearby we really did not see the shops in detail but were amazed at the diversity of shops.
The park was a beautiful place to spend some relaxing time and it was lovely to be able to look at the river and the birds on it from a number of bridges.
The one way system and roads that were only accessible at certain times was challenging, but we managed to get around at the times we needed to. Parking rules were unclear to us so we parked in a carpark that the hotel gave us a permit for.
The town was very clean apart from some areas in the evening, but the areas were cleaned up each morning. The town is vibrant and therefore noisy at night so a central hotel will come with the noise of music and loud shouting, laughter etc which might disturb some people.
We had a meal in Alfred's Bar and Grill and were very pleased with the excellent quality of service, ambience and food. It was nothing like we expected to find in the area. I would highly recommend eating there.
We would happily return to Pontypridd and spend more time there.

Views around the hotel probably is the only thing that I would recommend
Our room number 7 with unacceptable terrible damp smelling mouldy a broken rotten window frames carpet badly soiled dirty ruffled health and safety would have something to say and probably would advise not using this room, bedlinen looked like it hadn’t been changed , dirty very dusty we wrote our names on the shelves very low standard both the bedroom and the bathroom, I could go on much more but I would say £220.50 for that room and without breakfast is shameful, I arrived in my camper van and seriously thought I’d been happy to stay in it .

My daughter lives in Ponty, l live in the Midlands so it's nice to treat ourselves when l come for a visit. We had a lovely evening in the Blue bell hotel and breakfast in Wetherspoons. Really enjoyed our time in Ponty, thanks Wales.
Had a fantastic one night stay at the hotel. Staff were very busy as there was a wedding that day but even though our room wasn’t quite ready we were offered a complimentary drink at the bar area while they took care of it. We hadn’t even finished our drinks and it was ready 😊
We booked into the restaurant in the evening and the meal was beautiful.
Lovely room with everything we needed. This is our second stay and will definitely be staying again
I was visiting Wales to participate in the Nos Galan Road Races on New Year's Eve in the neighbouring town of Mountain Ash. I also took in 2 Parkruns while I was there, so I suppose you could call it a racing weekend. I really loved my stay in Pontypridd at the 'Blueberry', everything about the hotel was excellent - the staff, location, bedroom, parking, etc. It was a lovely comfortable stay and I would hope to return again.
A lovely spacious cottage. Clean, all essentials available, comfy beds, good size bedrooms.
The place was ideally located for us as a family. It was easy to park outside the property or as near as and free. Contact with the owners was easy and they are very helpful. The area is beautiful and lots to explore nearby. It was cheaper than a hotel for the time we stayed! This place was perfect in every way possible.
Hats off to the staff who are just lovely and catered to all requests. The room we booked wasn’t available, hence we were offered free breakfast for the entire duration of our stay. The food served were delicious and the drinks were also fairly priced as well. The Hotel is centrally located in the Pontypridd town near to Banks, Library, Pubs, restaurants and the Pontypridd railway station.
We were in wales to visit family and the location was perfect.
The farmhouse was absolutely beautiful!! Looks like it was professionally decorated. It was well stocked and extremely comfortable. We loved the daily visit of the sheep. Perfect for a family gathering and
plenty of toys and games to entertain the little ones. The welcome cakes and bubbly were appreciated and enjoyed!!
Top of toilet cracked...no hairdryer I had to go to reception to get one...communal male toilets filthy by end of night. Skirting boards off wall in corridors. Lots of cobwebs in communal areas. Drinking gin and tonic did not get gin glass served in either tumbler or wine glass. No milk for tea/coffee in room. Bath did not feel secure was very unsafe underfoot. Dissapointed
The hotel is well situated for locations I was visiting in the valleys of S Wales and had plenty of free on site parking. The accommodation was very good, with very friendly and attentitive staff. Room was very good, with free wifi. Both the evening meal and breakfast were excellent.
The staff at the hotel were truly wonderful and so helpful .
Breakfast was super and so fresh. The lady working the breakfast room was exceptional and although under pressure she always had time to talk to you
Pleasant enough place to stay for a couple of nights. Very friendly staff - both reception, waiting and cleaning.
Reception area and restaurant inviting
We would stay again.
Stayed here a few times since 2019 and its usually great value. No breakfast this time but I've enjoyed a few during the last 4 years. Spacious hotel and great staff
