The hotel has a lovely atmosphere. It is beautifully decorated to the highest standard,The rooms are very comfortable with exceptional bathrooms. The standard of cleanliness is excellent. The staff are extremely friendly, helpful and efficient. The location is ideal for the city; the restaurants , the cathedrals , the castle and the theatre. We would definitely recommend and certainly return if we visit Norwich again.

The food in the George and Dragon pub was lovely and the service was excellent. We liked that you could buy a drink from the pub and take it down to your room in a plastic cup. The owners/staff went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed as well as checking to make sure the hot tub was hot enough and helping us with the WiFi. The room and hot tub was clean and we would definitely visit again!

We love this hotel and stay here every year when we are in Norwich. Sadly this year there was a wedding, the noise from the disco was bad but bearable, it was the hotel guests around the property, in the bar and restraunt and even in the garden outside, which caused us distress. They were mainly drunk, very loud and their language was offensive, F*** being shouted loudly by both male and female guests regularly and children left to run and play tag around the tables. They smoked at the door of the restaurant so the smell filled the room, we did speak to the restaurant manager but she stated this was the second night of the wedding and they were all drunk so there was nothing the staff could do. So sad that such a lovely hotel is reduced to this level, the staff were all lovely but could do nothing to ease the situation.
