Best Western Aberavon Beach Hotel, hotel in Port Talbot

Location fine. Bit of a sea view. Staff were amazing. Finding my room was a bit of a maze and when I read emergency instructions on door I felt the escape route should be turned so that I didn't have to tilt my head and facing door as I look out so I can clearly see from door I turn left, right......... I loved the complimentary things, bathroom, towels, plenty of furniture. Bed comfortable. Lunch on Sunday - I had sea bass, superb and veg perfectly al dente. Staff were super efficient albeit each course was served so quickly without a pause! All staff were lovely and accommodating.

Mountain Escape - Cosy 2 bed house in Afan Valley, a property with a garden, is situated in Port Talbot, 45 km from Cardiff University, 46 km from University of South Wales - Cardiff Campus, as well...

We stayed for just one night and everything was perfect. the house is immaculately clean, smelt so nice and has everything you need and more. access via the lock box was easy and instructions were clear. We requested a later check out and the host was great and agreed straight away. brilliant that they don't charge extra for dogs too! gorgeous garden which is completely secure for the dog. The area is lovely and peaceful, short walk to the shop or Tesco is a 13 minute drive away so we stocked up there. we ordered a curry on just eat from Ruchi and it was so good! no negatives at all for this place would absolutely recommend

Bryn Bettws Lodge, hotel in Port Talbot

Set 22 km from Grand Theatre, Bryn Bettws Lodge offers accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking.

set in a stunning location, plenty of hiking, walking, mountain biking. i had a room in the main building which had a good size shower room attached, lovely comfortable bed, tv, tea/coffee and full sized kettle, stunning view from my window. evening meal of fish and chips which was delicious bar opened until 9pm so if you are looking for night life i would recommend you stay in the town as you are a long way from civilisation but if you are needing to rest relax and destress this is a fantastic place to do it. The staff were amazing so friendly, helpful and cheerful. On the edge of a forest so no main roads to listen to just the birds singing.

    Lovely peaceful location.

Lovely peaceful location. Plenty of places to visit and so close to Cardiff and Swansea but the small towns are pretty, worth a visit. Lots of local amenities and an abundance of good restaurants. Lots of things going on even out of season.

Changed quite a lot over the years.

Changed quite a lot over the years. Plenty shops and resterants , Sumerset Arms do lovely meals and the staff are amazing! My husband recommends the ribs 😋 Port Talbot is easy to get around. We would avoid going to the Twelve Knights the place has really gone down hill since we stayed last year especially the food.

The hotel looked a little run down on the outside - a bit like the area around it. Inside the hotel, however, it was clear that the staff and the facilities were excellent and everyone was friendly and helpful. The location, beside the park, the promenade and the beach, is wonderful. We found that there was lots to do nearby and we had a lovely time. Food in the hotel (breakfast and dinner) was adequate and there were lovely restaurants and bars close at hand.

A good location that allows visitors to travel to many places of interest across south Wales. The steel works is a real eyesore with its belching out of emissions, especially if visiting the sea front.

Great location up in the hills above Port Talbot. The lodge is at the start of the mountain bike trails and is popular with groups, with a bunk house, glamping and camping. I had a room in the lodge which was very comfortable and clean, giving a wonderful night's sleep. All the staff were very friendly. Food is served at the weekends in the cafe, good hearty outdoorsy food. This isn't a grand hotel and you shouldn't expect it but the location is unbeatable and the staff make you very welcome.

Good bar with friendly and helpful staff. Our room was warm, larger than average and comfortable bed The bar was excellent with a wide range of drinks. Probably a better pub than hotel. Large car park made life easy for us. Good cooked breakfast but minimal alternatives other than instant pot porridge, packets of cereals (decent selection) but no fruit juices on display.

Location was perfect for us, across from the train station, near the choir hall. The hotel is working to upgrade, the hallways need help, but our room was comfortable and clean! The breakfast was not the usual British fair but a nice change with smoked fish and cheese toast etc. They would have sent us out for the usual but we were glad we stayed!
