Tremendous location. Good bar and restaurant. The grilled langoustines were particularly delicious. The full Scottish breakfast was just right. The staff were friendly and helpful, and went out of their way to help when necessary.

I only spent one night in Portree so my judgement is limited. Even before the tourist season started, it was quite crowded. I can’t imagine what it must be like at the height of the season. Skye is lovely but expensive compared to other locations in Scotland.

Skyelight Apartment is at a great location, very near to Portree town centre, maybe 1-minute walk. Nicely furnished, warm and cozy. Note though there is no washing machine. Otherwise, a wonderful accommodation.

Very touristy not quite what we’d expected restaurants we sampled not as good as on the highlands NC500 so for us I wouldn’t do Skye in favour of the Highlands I’d spend longer on the NC500 west side.

We loved Rockview.
We loved Rockview. The view of the harbor from our room was spectacular. We could easily walk To the town of Portree to eat and shop! Location was perfect to sightsee . The owners were so helpful and nice! Would highly recommend Rockview!

A beautiful highlands town. Dinner reservations can be a bit of a challenge, however, you are on vacation typically and need to be patient. The food is definitely worth it - I stayed 4 nights and did not have a bad meal or experience.Bonnie

Parking is very limited but luckily we managed to get parking on each of the 3 days with 50 to 100m from hotel. Breakfast was very good on each of the three mornings. Everyone working at hotel who we came into contact with were charming and always helpful. I left my charger in the room on departure day but after a phone call to the hotel the thing was found and returned quickly to me at Home. It is a lovely positioned hotel which I would recommend.

A very short drive to Portree for shopping. Watching the tides come and receded was soothing. It was wonderful to see the sheep, and numerous types of birds! The unit is on the ground level of the host’s home so it would have been very easy to get assistance if it was needed. The hosts were kind and considerate! We had dinner in the restaurant both evenings and the food was fantastic as were the choices on the menu. There's a lovely living room area overlooking the water, with the Old Man of Storr being visible on a clear day. Room was listed as 'small' but it was bigger than some hotels weve stayed in. The staff were really friendly and we had breakfast exactly as we wanted - and as much as we could eat. Parking was spacious and off street. Skye is an awesome place (the sun was shining when we stayed) - would definitely recommend.
