Amazing welcome from the receptionist (Maisie) so professional and engaging. Room was huge, and spotlessly clean, main building was so original with the restaurant bar and reception area. Fantastic location, only two minutes walk on the flat into the Town. Wonderful 3 course breakfast, with amazing staff who where so polite and professional.

Extremely pretty bay with houses stacked on top of each...
Extremely pretty bay with houses stacked on top of each other to create a warren of walkways to explore. The area isn't huge and it's advisable to book places to eat, we tried the following and all were fantastic The Bay Hotel, Smugglers Ale House, The Cove (has a lovely terrace) and Fish Box, however Brambles Bistro was probably our favourite we had breakfast and dinner there a couple of times. The roads are steep all around the bay and it's definitely walkers country limited access by car and the walk out isnt for the faint hearted! I can imagine it gets incredibly busy in the warmer months but I can totally see the attraction I beautiful town steeped in in history.

Love everything about Robin Hoods Bay.
Love everything about Robin Hoods Bay. From the the little quirky cottages to the view. There is a few pubs down in the bay as well as at the top, that serve food as well as drinks. There's a lovely fish shop a little way down to the bay. There's also some lovely little shops down there too. We love the Victorian weekend in December, with everyone dressing up and lots of activities going on, like the Christmas fair's, dotted around the bay. There's a lot of lovely walks around the area, so it's very popular with hikers and dog walker's.

Beautiful location. Very quirky with amazing history.
Beautiful location. Very quirky with amazing history. I'd recommend the guided ghost walk, especially on a dark night. Loads of lovely places to eat, dog friendly too. Also near to an enchanted forest, fossy falls. It a 10 minute drive. Not recommend for wheelchair users or those with mobility issues. Very steep hills and narrow streets

Beautiful village with a selection of holiday lets and B&B...
Beautiful village with a selection of holiday lets and B&B accommodation, a few places to eat and drink and some shops, all leading down to a beach with lots of rockpools. The scenery was lovely, we watched the sun rise one morning from the headland on the edge of the Cleveland Way which was very much worth getting up for. We visited in October and found a number of businesses closed out of season or keeping unusual hours. We stayed at the top of the village and therefore it was only a short walk to the next village of Fylingthorpe where the pub does lovely food.

Lovely little beach and village.
Lovely little beach and village. If you park at the top of the village(this is the only car park unless you have a parking space with your property)there is a very steep hill down and back up again. Not ideal for people with mobility issues.
Permits for the top car park are available at the post office if you are staying for the week. The permit allows you to park in most Whitby and Scarborough car parks. The post office only takes cash for the permit which cost us £48 for the week.
Lots of lovely walks from the village and splendid views.

It’s a very charming village ,full of history.
It’s a very charming village ,full of history. Steep hills and steps to negotiate. Not for anyone with mobility problems or wheel chairs. Food outlets like pubs and fish and chips serve great food. No cash machines ,Costas or Greggs type shops here. In my opinion GREAT.

We stayed at Rounton Villa in January with family and friends for my partners 50th birthday.
We all absolutely loved it. Great to spend time together in the luxury of this beautiful house. I would love to visit again in the summer and take advantage of the garden area, although we did use the Hot tub, but just rather cold when getting out. Beds were so comfy and so much room for everyone. Loved everything about it, plus great communication and help from the owners. Fab accommodation. Great location.
Fantastic house, bigger than expected and is evident from the photos. The master bedroom is huge and the two other bedrooms are decent sized. Really nice to have two sitting rooms - the two teenagers enjoyed having the smaller one as a space to do their own thing in while we adults used the main one. The two bathrooms were very nice too, as was the kitchen/dining area.
Everything was well-appointed as well and we had everything we needed. All clean and shiny as well so we were very happy!
The room was very clean and spacious. Location good for us as both Scarborough and Whitby not too far away. Janet and Steve are a lovely couple and very knowledgable about the area. Although this is a vegetarian hotel and we are not vegetarians this was not a problem. The full english breakfast was good quality food and set us up for the day. Janets homemade sourdough bread was really nice. Thank you both we enjoyed our stay with you.
Terrific location next to Victoria hotel. So friendly, helpful and nice. Great value, Cozy room and best breakfast of our month long trip. Easy parking across the street or just up the hill. Fantastic views from our room of village rooftops and bay below. Great base for hiking the Cleveland way and cinder track trails. Gorgeous 7 mile hike to whitby and easy bus system return with stop right by hotel or to surrounding coastal towns.
Coded door lock with code changed for each occupant.
Ideal location, not too far from the town and restaurants.
Plenty of USB sockets next to bed.
Small fridge with small bottle of milk and 2 water bottles. Lovely touch.
Great location for walkers
A couple of minutes from the Victoria Hotel- great meals or just a drink overlooking the bay.
Adequate off-road parking
Great shower
Friendly owners
Room was large . Well decorated. clean . comfortable .Breakfast was very nice with large selection available . Rooms had a small fridge with fresh milk . Staff very friendly and happy to help . .Evenjng meals looked lovely too but we didnt get a chance to eat dinner . Dinning room was large and although hotel was busy didnt feel over crowded at breakfast
Glen-Lyn is ideally situated to explore Robin Hoods Bay and for access to the Coastal Walk and Cinder Track. It is a well kitted out, spacious property which was immaculately clean. Lovely views out of the windows. Easy parking provided. Good places to eat very close by; we ate at the Victoria Hotel and the Grosvenor Hotel and had great meals at both.
The Victoria Hotel is an older hotel which is decorated accordingly taking you back to days gone by. A very large room which had a very large grand bed which added to the enjoyment of the room. The orangery was very impressive for looking out to sea while eating breakfast. We ate in the restaurant which was extremely well presented and delicious.
Don’t be fooled by the ‘just a b&b’ tag. This was an exceptional place to stay. We had just got to the end of a ten day touring holiday and this one exceeded all the hotels we had previously stayed in. The room, in terms of comfort, space, cleanliness and decor was first class, the breakfast service perfection.
Absolutely fantastic property, a great amount of space, super clean, and the hosts were super helpful.
The parking wasn't an issue as there was plenty of parking on the street free of charge
The garden area was very pleasant and recently all cleaned and decorated we felt it was very welcoming and warm
Spacious, clean room, helpful staff and best english breakfast we had in years.10 mins drive to Robin Hood Bay 20 mins to Whitby. Located in nice rural area. Quiet and offering spacious car park. We recommend this nice place.
We loved our stay, the breakfast was fantastic. The room was comfortable, had a lovely view and all the things we could need to make our stay comfortable. Perfect distance from the village and many lovely walks in the area.
We had our evening meal at the hotel; Lamb shank with veg and chips. It was excellent value for money and tasted amazing. Breakfast was very good. Staff were very friendly. We would stay here again
Robin Hood's Bay is wonderful and definitely worth a visit. The hotel rooms are overall comfortable and very quiet, which is remarkable given that they are above a pub.
Fantastic location & accommodation - the rooms and facilities where all bang on! Cracking breakfast and lovely helpful owner :-) Parking on-site was a great bonus too.
