I’ve been coming to St Ives for 50 years so I’m slightly biased but it is a beautiful place with 5 beaches. Numerous good places to eat. Lovely little shops with different crafty bits in. Mostly flat when you are in the town area. Good location for exploring more of Cornwall if needed but plenty to see and do in St Ives.

I visited on the New Year holiday which was marvelous except for the weather. A force 8 gale with 15ft seas was recorded. Nevertheless a good time was had. The whole town went bat sh*t bonkers on New Years Eve by dressing up outrageously. The whole event concluded with a magnificent firework display. Visitors lodged in the Old Town need to be nimble as do those going to No 85, which has narrow and awkward stair access to bedrooms. Frail or people with compromised walking really ought to swerve this St Ives. The streets are steep, one car wide (although two way) and very narrow. Try “One Fish Street” for a delicious, although expensive dinner. I’m a chef and I ‘rate’ this restaurant.

St Ives is just lovely, one of my favourite places in the UK. Very friendly with plenty of shops and places to eat. Beaches superb. Are at The Captains Table, part of The Sloop Onn and I must say the food was delicious and the service impeccable!

St Ives is a beautiful tourist trap in the southwest county of Cornwall. I've visited the town on many occasions at different times of the year. Its beauty (no matter the weather) never ceases to amaze. From the beautiful harbour and bays to the dramatic coastline; it's a jewel.

This is my happy place so I’m biased. Lovely beaches, shops and wide range of places to stay and eat. Parking can be difficult in the summer months but there is a good bus service from the large car park at the leisure centre. Highly recommended

The property and owner are welcoming. The apartment is well equipped and well maintained. It has a parking space which are not available for many properties in Cornwall. It is on a bus route to St Ives and the ‘coaster’ bus covers the local coast in a circular route inclusive of Lands End land mark, it’s cheap to travel by bus. Ideal base for exploring.

Location in a quiet area, 10-15 minutes walk to train station and Carbis Bay beach, bus stop for St Ives and other Cornwall destinations in front of the B&B. Shop (small supermarket) next door. Nice and friendly owners. Small issue with door hook hanging loose was immediately fixed after we reported it.

Thanks very much for the Staff finding our ipencil and earphone and post them back to me even I’m not in Cornwall anymore. Many Thanks!

Stunning view of Porthminster beach from the apartment. The apartment was beautifully furnished, spacious and well equipped throughout. Location made Carbis Bay and St Ives town centre easily accessible. Perfect for our family size, which consisted of my wife and I, 2 kids and elderly parents.

Linda was very nice and helpful, but this is a bed and breakfast, and there was no breakfast. Although there are main floor rooms, we were put in the attic with extremely steep stairs--very difficult to get to with luggage. We felt that it was very over-priced for what it is.

We absolutely loved our stay in this boutique hotel. The decor was beautifully stripped back, lots of white and naturals which were very well done. The views of the harbour were just stunning, it was impossible not to keep taking pictures. The owners were also so welcoming.

The grounds of the hotel are spectacular, and our room was comfortable and spacious. The free parking was also helpful, as most car parking lots in St. Ives were full during a busy warm weekend. Great service from reception.
