What a picturesque town with outstanding natural beauty and so much to see in the way of art and ceramics. It does get very crowded during holiday times so I would recommend going out of season. Highlights include the Tate St Ives, the Barbara Hepworth Studio, the various galleries and the beaches. The walking could be difficult for anyone with limited mobility but there are ways around that in terms of getting transport. A really stunning spot. Plenty of excellent places to eat from beach cafes to independent bakeries and coffee shops to fish restaurants. It seemed that everywhere was very dog friendly too and many visitors were there with their dogs.

I’ve been coming to St Ives for 50 years so I’m slightly biased but it is a beautiful place with 5 beaches. Numerous good places to eat. Lovely little shops with different crafty bits in. Mostly flat when you are in the town area. Good location for exploring more of Cornwall if needed but plenty to see and do in St Ives.

I visited on the New Year holiday which was marvelous except for the weather. A force 8 gale with 15ft seas was recorded. Nevertheless a good time was had. The whole town went bat sh*t bonkers on New Years Eve by dressing up outrageously. The whole event concluded with a magnificent firework display.
Visitors lodged in the Old Town need to be nimble as do those going to No 85, which has narrow and awkward stair access to bedrooms.
Frail or people with compromised walking really ought to swerve this St Ives. The streets are steep, one car wide (although two way) and very narrow.
Try “One Fish Street” for a delicious, although expensive dinner. I’m a chef and I ‘rate’ this restaurant.

St Ives is just lovely, one of my favourite places in the UK. Very friendly with plenty of shops and places to eat. Beaches superb. Are at The Captains Table, part of The Sloop Onn and I must say the food was delicious and the service impeccable!
Stayed here for 3 nights a lovely little place to stay. Staff go above and beyond, food and drink is amazing, rooms are spotlight and newly decorated. We had a family room comprising of 1 double and 2 singles and still plenty of space. They’re very accommodating and dog friendly even leaving a new toy for our dog. Towels changed daily and water etc topped up. I would highly recommend this accomodation. They also use a taxi service to and from St Ives which we found to be very reasonable too.
Awful venue. Staff are arrogant and rude. No lights worked in the room. Bed was poorly made with poor quality bedding. Floor hadn't been hoovered in days. Corridors strewn with glasses, cups and various junk. When complaining, the staff were arrogant and rude. Took a refund and booked in at a different hotel. I have stayed a better Travelodges than this supposedly upmarket hotel. For £255 I expected much better. Probably the worst room I have ever stayed in.
The location is absolutely stunning and the hotel and spa is 5*
The staff were very friendly and welcoming.
They went above and beyond to make our stay feel special.
We had a gluten free breakfast hamper delivered to our cabin.
The hotel deck is the perfect place for a cocktail and so is the Ugly Butterfly restaurant and bar.
Carbis Bay train station is a short walk and for £1 you can see more of the beautiful coastline as you ride along into St. Ives.
the hotel is located next to the most beautiful beach in town. The host has restored a one-time prissy hotel, into a hip enclave with clean open areas with natural toned accents. It still feels homey and is a pleasure to return to every evening. The breakfast had more variety than we found anywhere else. St. Ives is a popular destination, but I am so glad we stayed there. The town is walkable but I feel his location is the best possible.
Really comfortable bed and extremely clean and well decorated bedroom with spacious beautiful ensuite. We didn't mind parking approx 100 yds down the road and the B&B covered the cost as not enough parking on the driveway. Nice walk down to Carbis Bay (steep obviously!) Beautiful garden and host warm and welcoming; we were allowed to arrive early to get ready for a wedding at Carbis Bay hotel which was great!
An extremely nice boutique style hotel a few minutes walk form the centre of St Ives and very close to Porthminster beach. Breakfast choice was very good and the food and service excellent. Enjoyed a couple of happy hours (two for one) with delicious sauvignon blanc! Mihaka, the host, was very pleasant and full of useful information. Nicely furnished. All a very pleasant experience.
The hotel location is excellent with the fantastic sea view. I stayed in a single room for one day. I arrived at night and in the morning was surprised by the view. It was a brand-new room. Hotel also has a good breakfast. The staff was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, I didn't stay a long time but I have been in many hotels and this one is one of the best.
The decor of the rooms very elegant. Breakfast good. Charmaine on reception gave us an amazing welcome. She is so naturally charming and so efficient. She booked us in to Walter’s restaurant by the sea part of the sister hotel Corbis Bay Hotel. Great food and amazing beach front views. Beautiful beach. Charmaine really made our stay feel very special indeed.
The property and owner are welcoming. The apartment is well equipped and well maintained.
It has a parking space which are not available for many properties in Cornwall. It is on a bus route to St Ives and the ‘coaster’ bus covers the local coast in a circular route inclusive of Lands End land mark, it’s cheap to travel by bus.
Ideal base for exploring.
Beautiful location with sea views from the very comfortable lounge where you might while away a couple of hours with a couple of drinks from the honesty bar. Breakfast was delicious with the highlight being a fresh fruit salad of summer fruits.
The well designed, clean rooms were very comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful with lots of choices. the staff was friendly and very helpful. Able to walk to most everything as hotel was central.
Parking was good - valet arrival went well .
Spa treatment was excellent. Very professional. Pool and lounge by pool was lovely .
Hotel is clean
Bathroom of our room was great .

Our room had a great view across the bay and town
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the breakfast was excellent
Gorgeous apartment set in stunnjng gardens.
Plenty of space in the apartment, parking space right outside. Hotel facilities were great. Location brilliant for walking into town.
The style and facilities of the room were amazing, very spacious with everything that was needed during our stay. The location the hotel was in was also bonus!
This hotel is amazing. We loved the boho beach decor. The location and views were excellent. The staff was warm and friendly. We can’t wait to stay here again.
