Fantastic little find on the way to Salisbury as we booked last minute. Our room was beautiful, absolutely loved the quirkiness of the old building. We had one of the best steak meals we have ever had in the restaurant. Would highly recommend to friends and family for a weekend escape. Great value stay in a stunning hotel. Thank you!

My partner and I stayed there in March 2024. Beautiful hotel in a central location. Complementary drink from the bar on the first night. Very comfortable bed, bath over shower, which was great for relaxing after long walks. Delicious and affordable breakfast with plenty of choice ( we paid in advance when booking, which was cheaper but can be paid for on arrival).

Stone henge minutes away! Good base to get your head down if you're more concerned about exploring rather than wanting a luxury stay.
Bed was very comfy. Quiet nights sleep. Couldn't hear the main road with windows closed. Temperature was perfect. Majority of staff were professional, friendly, helpful, and approachable. Loads of parking. 24 hr desk useful. Good range of drinks available. The mattress and topper under the bedding were clean, no stains or anything. Nice coffee machine at breakfast. Evening meal had a lot of choice.

A small town with lots of pretty old buildings, beside the river. There are some famous sites including the cathedral which I enjoyed visiting. Unfortunately a few things are closed Tuesday and/or Wednesday, so check webistes when planning your trip. It's also 20 minutes from Stonehenge.

Parts of the city are rather grim, other parts are wonderfully historic and worth seeing; the Saturday market is excellent. We didnt go into the Cathedral as we considered the ticket price excessive but we ate very good food in Baroushka in Fisherton Road and the daytime cafe opposite. There is an amazing fishmonger in Fish Row and a good baker adjacent. Walking through the city was difficult as there seem to be endless road/pavement works and hordes of tourists heading for their lessons in history. We came by train as parking would appear to be scarce but there is a good Park and Ride. We were blessed with the cottage, it made up for our disappointment with Salisbury itself.

Love this area, brings memories of childhood as I was born in an area called Salisbury. It has a lovely market to buy goods from, stores, and lots of food options where a Mediterranean breakfast can be experienced. Not to mention Stonehenge... info attainable for Magna Carta resides in this area. Rooms experienced at places stayed great for short term but I like big open spaces with rooms, nothing against the hosts! Many options offer included breakfasts elsewhere.

I’ve always loved Salisbury as it’s a great place to visit, when you want to see our heritage as-well as modern shops and restaurants/pubs. On our visit we had dinner in the Chapter house, 10/10 definitely recommend the steak! Don’t forget the fudge shop near the Gatehouse haha!AAnonymous
